Hades 2 is now in early access on Steam, offering players a first look at the sequel to the acclaimed 2020 title Hades. The game presents numerous choices right from the start, such as selecting the best weapons and prioritizing early upgrades, but there's much more to explore. Customizing the accessibility settings can significantly enhance your gameplay experience and provide additional support if required. Here are three key areas to focus on.
God Mode is available as a reliable backup
Similar to other roguelikes, Hades 2 can be quite demanding. The genre inherently involves restarting from scratch after each death. However, if the difficulty becomes overwhelming, you can activate God Mode (invincibility) to gain an edge.
To activate God Mode, go to Options > Gameplay and enable God Mode. This feature lets you enjoy Supergiant’s captivating narrative and progress through levels without unnecessary difficulty.
Autofire can reduce strain on your fingers
Mastering the controls in Hades 2 might require some practice. One of the most frequently used actions is attacking, which is typically bound to the left mouse button (X on Xbox, square on PlayStation). However, excessive clicking can wear out your mouse over time. To avoid this or simply reduce repetitive strain, consider enabling Autofire.
To enable Autofire, head to Options > Accessibility > Autofire and switch it on. This allows the game to automatically fire your weapon when you hold down the attack button, while still permitting manual clicks for quicker strikes.
Disable screenshake for a smoother experience
While screenshake can enhance the intensity of certain attacks in Hades 2, it may cause discomfort for some players. If you experience nausea or find it unsettling, disabling this feature can help. To turn off screenshake, go to Options > Accessibility > Screenshake.
