Imagine you've got the travel bug, but your budget is a bit tight. The city you choose plays a major role in how much you'll end up spending. Trip Advisor has compiled a list of the most budget-friendly (and pricey) cities to explore.
The platform analyzed 67 top tourist cities, both in the U.S. and worldwide, taking into account average costs for drinks, meals, transportation, and a single night at a hotel during the summer.

While it would be helpful to factor in flight prices, that really depends on where you're flying from. Remember, these are 'major tourist cities,' but there are certainly smaller, less-visited spots that could be even more affordable.
As for the priciest destinations, San Francisco took the top spot, which likely won't surprise many. New York City followed closely in second, with Boston rounding out the top three. For international destinations, London was the most expensive, closely followed by Paris.
