For enthusiasts of the Rocky series featuring Sylvester Stallone, the opportunity to own a genuine pair of Rocky Balboa's boxing gloves is here. Prop Store in Los Angeles is hosting a live auction for entertainment memorabilia on August 26 and 27, featuring gloves worn by Stallone in the 1976 classic Rocky.

The black gloves featuring white trim appear in training scenes where Mickey Goldmill (Burgess Meredith), Rocky’s mentor, motivates the Italian Stallion to believe he can defeat Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers). Despite being crafted by Casanova, the manufacturer’s label was removed. The gloves show minimal wear and staining, though traces of Stallone’s sweat and DNA might still be present. They are estimated to sell for $12,000 to $16,000.
Prop Store has previously auctioned Stallone’s autographed yellow headgear from 1982’s Rocky III ($4100) and his signed yellow boxing trunks from the same movie ($9500).
Additional auction highlights include a Darth Vader costume used for promotions in the late 1970s (estimated at $150,000 to $250,000); Tom Cruise’s Maverick helmet from 1986’s Top Gun ($50,000 to $70,000); and Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy suit from 2004’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy ($3000 to $5000). For those on a budget, options include a Harrison Ford-signed poster from 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark ($1000) or a dehydrated Pizza Hut wrapper from 1989’s Back to the Future Part II ($400).
