While low-cost or free shipping is increasingly common, some retailers still impose significant fees. Occasionally, these stores offer free shipping, but only if you meet a specific minimum purchase, like $50 or $75. Try negotiating this by starting a live chat with the retailer, and ask if they can offer you a better deal.

Many websites employ live chat agents who have a limited number of discount codes to distribute if you kindly request them. Begin a chat, explain your situation, and mention that you're close to the minimum purchase requirement but can't justify the shipping fee. You might be pleasantly surprised with the outcome and could score a free shipping coupon without adding unnecessary items to your cart.
