The beauty industry is overflowing with choices, and it often feels like there's a new product going viral every week on social media — making it even more challenging to find a go-to concealer for everyday use. Sometimes, it's better to get recommendations from regular people who use makeup daily rather than beauty experts or influencers who might be promoting products they received for free or are being paid to endorse.

After trying countless concealers to find the perfect match for my sensitive and acne-prone skin, I was eager to discover which concealers others in our office trust and swear by.
Below, I’ve gathered insights from people of various ages and skin types who share the concealers they keep coming back to — no viral trends involved. You might just find your next holy grail makeup item here.
1. e.l.f. Camo Peach Color Corrector

2. Tarte Shape Tape Travel-Size Contour Concealer

Senior life editor Lindsay Holmes describes Tarte's Shape Tape Concealer as her "holy grail." At 34, with dry skin and a bit of rosacea, Holmes finds that despite Shape Tape not being specifically hydrating, it still smooths and brightens. It’s dermatologist-tested, waterproof, crease-proof for up to 12 hours, and offers full coverage. To save a little, Holmes recommends getting the travel size, which lasts a surprisingly long time.
Shape Tape comes in 37 shades. Featured shades here include 12B (Fair Beige), 61H (Espresso), and 27G (Medium-Tan Golden).
Find it at Target for $15.
3. Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer

Finding the Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Full Coverage Waterproof Liquid Concealer a few years ago was a game changer for me. At 24, struggling with sensitive, acne-prone skin, I had been searching for a concealer that could withstand hot, sweaty days while providing full coverage without feeling heavy or causing breakouts.
I thought I had found the perfect match with the Benefit Boi-ing Industrial Strength Cream Concealer, but the Cakeless version exceeded my expectations. With a wider range of shades and a much cleaner application thanks to the tube, it delivers flawless coverage while still looking natural. Although $27 feels a bit steep, one tube lasts me a long time.
The Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer is available in 26 shades. The shades featured here are 1 (Amaze 'Em) and 17 (Your Way).

4. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

Abigail Williams, the head of audience, describes herself as a dedicated "loyalist" to the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
Williams, who is 32 and has normal to sensitive skin, finds this concealer works for all skin types. Copy editor Shonitria Anthony, 35, with oily skin, also vouches for its effectiveness.
Anthony shares, "I've been using this concealer since I was around 26. Over the years, through changes in life like having kids and moving coast to coast, it's remained a constant in my routine."
The concealer offers buildable, medium coverage with a radiant finish. It's also designed to be long-lasting, claiming up to 16 hours of wear. Available in 30 shades, you can get it in both full-size and mini versions. The shades shown here are Chantilly and Dark Coffee.

5. Tower 28 Swipe all-over hydrating serum concealer

"Since I found the Tower 28 concealer, I stopped using foundation altogether," says Peggy Wang, VP of Mytour editorial. In her early 40s, with normal to dry skin, she says the concealer "blends effortlessly and provides excellent coverage, saving me time in the morning. I apply it to my forehead, under my eyes, around my nose, and chin, then blend it in with a foundation brush. It stays in place without the greasy or heavy feel of full foundation."
Wang isn't the only fan. I also tried it when my local Sephora ran out of my usual Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer, and found Tower 28 to be lightweight and not cakey — it feels almost like I'm wearing no makeup at all. It’s available in 20 shades with a natural finish and medium coverage. The shades shown here are 1.0 BH and 20.0 WLA.
Get it from Sephora for $22.
6. Fenty Beauty Bright Fix under eye brightener

Operations associate Alexandra Niforos swears by the Fenty Beauty Bright Fix Under Eye Brightener "specifically for under the eyes." Niforos, in her mid-20s, has normal to oily skin. This brightener offers a serum-like texture and sheer, buildable coverage, perfect for layering with skincare or underneath another concealer — or even with another Bright Fix shade. (Fenty Beauty's founder, Rihanna, reportedly likes to combine the shades Peach and Honey.) If you're not into full-coverage makeup and prefer a more natural finish, this might be just what you need.
The Bright Fix Under Eye Brightener is available in 15 shades, with Rose Quartz and Coffee featured here.
Get it from Ulta for $28.
7. Rare Beauty Positive Light under eye brightener

Another editor recommends the Rare Beauty Positive Light Under Eye Brightener. This product can be used alone or layered over a full-coverage concealer. While it provides lighter coverage when used alone, it offers a bright, radiant finish, hydrates the skin, and smooths it out without causing creases or caking.
It has a limited shade range, with only six shades available. The shades featured here are Light and Deep.
Find it at Sephora for $24.
