The research also differentiated between budget airlines and traditional carriers to determine a comprehensive cost index across countries.
India, Malaysia, Russia, and Portugal were among the countries with the lowest overall flight costs. India stood out as the least expensive, with an average fare of $3.25 per kilometer. On the other end of the spectrum, the United Arab Emirates had the priciest flights, averaging $105.71 per 100 kilometers. Finland followed closely with the second-highest price at $50.98 per 100 kilometers.
Kiwi’s ranking tool lets you filter flights by both international and domestic routes. China offered the most affordable international flights, while Canada had the highest prices. Although these prices can fluctuate based on the specific departure and destination points, the tool provides a helpful overview of flight costs in different regions.
