No matter the size of your workshop, maximizing space is key. This fold-down workbench can be assembled in just one afternoon and will instantly upgrade your workspace without taking up much room.
This table design is similar to another fold-down workbench we've previously shared, but it features a single hinge, with the legs attached to the table and swinging out together as one unit.
There's no specific size for this table, but consider the length of the piano hinge you have access to. A hinge that spans almost the full length of the table is ideal. Home Depot offers piano hinges up to 6 feet, though a table size of 3-4 feet works best for this design.
The table can be made from scrap plywood and 2x4s. You’ll need a few lag bolts to secure the legs and a Kreg jig to drill pocket holes for assembling the frame. Otherwise, it's a straightforward build that will significantly enhance your workshop.
