Design a Simple Terra-Cotta Pot Centerpiece

1. Essential Materials You'll Need

• Sharp scissors
• Floral foam (available at craft stores or florists)
• One small juice glass that fits into each pot
• A small dish for soaking the foam in water
• 2 to 3 dozen ranunculus blooms
• Standard terra-cotta pots, ranging from 3 to 6 inches in diameter

Alternative flowers to try: roses, lisianthus, carnations, and chrysanthemums

2. Step 1

Trim a piece of foam to fit each juice glass. Soak the foam in water for a few minutes until fully saturated. Remove the leaves from the ranunculus stems.

3. Step 2

Carefully place the foam inside the glass, then set the glass into the pot.

4. Step 3

Trim the stems at a sharp angle and insert them into the foam, beginning in the center and working your way outward.

5. Step 4

Rotate the pot as you arrange the flowers until the entire surface is covered.
