Openpsychometrics.org, a platform specializing in personality assessments, offers a new online quiz designed to provide an eerily precise match. The quiz presents 28 questions, asking you to position yourself on a sliding scale between two opposing traits. For instance, if you lean more toward being playful than serious, adjust the slider closer to playful to reflect your preference. The balance could range from a slight 51 percent playful to a full 100 percent. Other trait pairs include artistic versus scientific, dominant versus submissive, and spiritual versus skeptical, among others.
After completing the quiz, you’ll receive a result showing which of approximately 500 TV and film characters best matches your personality. The creators determined these character personalities by having survey participants rate them on various traits, which are then compared to your own self-assessments.
Below your primary result, you’ll find an option to view your complete match list, offering a more detailed insight into the type of character you resemble. Interestingly, my top two matches—identical to Mytour editor-in-chief Erin McCarthy’s—were The West Wing’s C.J. Cregg and Joey Lucas, indicating we share a straightforward demeanor, a tendency toward perfectionism, and a latent talent for national politics that, in our cases, may remain untapped.
Meanwhile, managing editor Jenn Wood’s fictional counterpart is Game of Thrones’s Tyrion Lannister, celebrated for his sharp wit and universal appeal. This came as no surprise.
