The bloopers reveal that Home Alone’s production wasn’t always as flawless as Kevin McCallister’s elaborate traps. Macaulay Culkin, only 10 years old at the time, struggled with some of John Hughes’s dialogue, but he always bounced back and nailed his lines like a pro.
Joe Pesci, an industry veteran, wasn’t immune to the occasional slip-up either. While shooting the scene where the Wet Bandits escape through a window, Pesci accidentally called Daniel Stern Harry instead of Marv. Maybe the chaos of the McCallister household was starting to wear on him.
One of the most notable mistakes during the filming of Home Alone actually slipped past the editors. At around 55 minutes and 27 seconds, Daniel Stern accidentally drops an expletive while trying to pull his shoe through the doggie door.
