For Valheim enthusiasts who miss their adventures in World of Warcraft, a new free mod offers the perfect solution. Now, you can journey through the iconic landscapes of Azeroth while immersed in the Viking survival world of Valheim.
The mod, titled Valheim of Warcraft, introduces a vast array of World of Warcraft zones into Valheim without altering its core gameplay. Players can explore regions such as Kalimdor, the Eastern Kingdoms, Quel’Thalas, Northrend, Pandaria, and many others, all seamlessly integrated into the game.
It’s important to note that this adaptation isn’t an exact replica. According to the mod’s creator, Kromek, from Nexus Mods, each zone has been scaled down by approximately 20% to fit within Valheim’s map. Additionally, cosmic realms like Argus, Draenor, Outlands, and the Shadowlands are currently excluded. The Maelstrom is present but lacks its signature swirling vortex.

The custom map begins with players on a redesigned Timeless Isle, featuring portals that connect to World of Warcraft’s starting zones. Each zone offers its own progression path and boss encounters, with portals replacing World of Warcraft’s traditional ship and zeppelin routes for seamless travel.
While major cities, dungeons, and other structures are absent, Kromek intends to introduce optional prebuilt elements like burial chambers, sunken crypts, and goblin villages in fitting locations. In the meantime, Valheim’s building mechanics allow players to recreate iconic locations such as Orgrimmar and Stormwind with their friends.
