PlayStation has revealed an impressive lineup of games that subscribers can enjoy with the introduction of its new PlayStation Plus tiers. Sony mentions that this list is not exhaustive, promising additional titles as the launch date approaches. However, the current selection is already substantial, heightening anticipation for next month’s PlayStation Plus debut.
To recap, PlayStation is merging its PlayStation Now and PlayStation Plus services into a unified PlayStation Plus offering. This new service combines online gaming with access to a vast library of “free” games (available after subscribing to one of the paid plans). Launching in North America on June 13, it aims to provide gamers with enhanced flexibility and options for their online PlayStation experience.
The new service features three tiers: PlayStation Plus Essential, which mirrors the traditional PlayStation Plus subscription; PlayStation Plus Extra, which includes all Essential benefits plus access to a library of approximately 400 games; and PlayStation Plus Premium, which builds on the first two tiers by adding an extra 340 titles, including cloud streaming options (in regions without cloud streaming, PlayStation Plus Deluxe is available).

Classic Games Collection
Although this list is more concise compared to the PS4 and PS5 offerings, it includes several entertaining games from the original PlayStation and PSP eras. Some of these titles feature enhanced graphics and smoother frame rates. Note: If you’ve previously purchased any of these games from Sony, you won’t need a PlayStation Plus subscription or to repurchase them to enjoy them. However, they will be accessible to all PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe subscribers.

A key detail absent from Sony’s announcement is the list of free games arriving for all PlayStation Plus tiers in June. PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers may find this update disappointing, as the current list primarily caters to Extra and Premium/Deluxe members. However, Sony is expected to reveal the free June games shortly, so stay tuned to the PS Blog for further updates.
