Android/iOS: Cutting down on your grocery expenses is one of the easiest ways to save, but the task of searching for deals and clipping coupons can be time-consuming. That's where Favado comes in, a money- and time-saving app that alerts you to the top deals at local grocery stores, drugstores, and warehouse clubs.
Favado covers over 65,000 stores across the nation, including Aldi, Costco, CVS, Albertsons, Dollar Tree, Safeway, Fairway, Whole Foods, and many others. Add your preferred stores, and the app will show you what’s on sale, including hidden discounts that aren’t widely advertised, according to the app creators. You can save your favorite items or brands to a special sales list, create a shopping list, and view available coupons to maximize your savings on sale items.
Enable notifications in the settings, and Favado will alert you of deals when you’re near a store.
As for the savings estimate, Favado claims:
The average shopper can cut down their spending by 30% by purchasing discounted items listed within the app, along with other necessary products. Savvy shoppers can save around 50% by following the sales cycles, purchasing only when items are on sale, and using the occasional coupon. Super Saver Shoppers can save as much as 70% by combining weekly coupons with sale prices and additional store promotions and offers.
While the app isn’t brand new (it’s been around for a year), we haven’t featured it before, except for a mention in a recent top 10 list. Given how many of us are looking to save more on groceries, this is an excellent app to have on your phone.
