Are you shopping for someone who 1. adores smoothies and 2. lacks the space, time, or energy for a large, bulky blender that takes up too much room, is difficult to store, and needs constant cleaning?
^This is me, trying to stay positive on another 2021 morning.
If the answer is yes, then I've got the perfect present for you!
Introducing the Beast Blender ($155 on Amazon), a sleek, single-serving blender that's not only powerful and easy to use but also fits perfectly in kitchens of all sizes— even in small New York apartments.

This blender pretty much *lives* on my counter, but I don’t mind it taking up the admittedly limited space because it’s so stylish — plus, I use it constantly!
Here’s how it works: Fill the blending container with your ingredients, attach the blade securely, then twist it onto the blending base to seal it shut.
The controls are incredibly intuitive, even for my pre-caffeine brain. When you twist the blender jar in place, the yellow indicator light turns white, showing that it’s locked and ready to use. Simply press to pulse, or press and hold for just one second to activate a 60-second automatic blend.
The design isn’t just about looks — it's also very functional. I’m not an engineer, but apparently, the jar’s ribbed structure is meant to ~boost the turbulence~ and overall efficiency of your blend. In addition, the blade speed automatically adjusts to ensure that your ingredients are properly blended and incorporated.

It may not be a Vitamix, but with 18,000 revolutions per minute, it certainly gets the job done. Let's see the Beast crush some ice:
As you're aware, Vitamix blenders typically cost between $200 and $600, even when refurbished. The Beast, however, offers incredible value for your money!
It may be compact, but it packs a punch. The outcome? It's practically homemade snow.

The thoughtful design extends to the gray material on both the lid and the bottom of the container, which makes twisting it open and closed a breeze — and prevents your hand from freezing.

Behold this smoothie rainbow.
As shown above, I typically sip it directly from a silicone straw through the wide mouth opening. However, if you're heading out, it includes a travel lid with a handy on-the-go handle for convenience.

While it's always a good idea to add some liquid when blending or making smoothies, and that's recommended for this blender, I often just use Greek yogurt as my liquid — and it blends my frozen ingredients into a smooth consistency with no issues.

This is when the extra liquid that tends to sit on top of Greek yogurt becomes particularly useful.
If I go a little overboard with the frozen ingredients, it's easy to pop off the jar, give it a quick shake, and blend again for perfect results.
I like my smoothies extra-thick (when I go out for a smoothie, I always order it extra thick), and with this blender, I consistently make creamy, not watery, smoothies every single time.

Pro tip for thick smoothies: I'm currently allergic to bananas (turns out, they share similarities with ragweed pollen!), so I can't include them in my blends. But I’ve discovered that frozen zucchini is a fantastic thickener! It doesn’t add sweetness like bananas do, and it’s neutral in flavor, so it won’t give your smoothie a “green” taste like some veggies might.
Cleaning up is a breeze. Just rinse the blade base with soapy water (or use a dish sponge for any stubborn ingredients), wipe down the blender base if necessary, and all the other parts are safe to go in the dishwasher.

The blender includes the largest (1,000-ml) blending container, but additional smaller options, such as the 800-ml ($18) and 500-ml ($16) containers, are available for those looking to make smaller batches.

I also have the shorter container, which works wonderfully for food processing tasks, like quickly preparing fresh salsa.

I didn't capture a photo of the salsa back then, but believe me, it was DELICIOUS.

By the way, the Beast Blender bundle with the ~hydration system~ (a water bottle with an infuser for your favorite blended fruit, veggie, or herb combinations; $185) is featured in Oprah's Favorite Things list this year!

Just so you know, smoothies aren't the only thing I can quickly make with this blender. My favorite Sunday comfort food, homemade crepes, are just a blend away.

Thanks to its compact size and the included lid, I can easily pop the jar of batter into the fridge for the necessary chilling — something I wouldn't be able to do with a standard (too tall) blender. And of course, that means fewer dishes to clean!
You blend the batter right in the jar, pour it directly from the jar into your pan, store any leftover batter in the jar (which I use for crepes during the week, for dessert on Monday or Tuesday), and then just toss the jar in the dishwasher.
I make these fairly often, and they always turn out perfectly. By the way, you can find the crepe recipe I use right here!

Does it do EVERYTHING? No. For recipes that require adding ingredients gradually (like emulsifying), you still need a traditional blender where you can add ingredients while blending. But for quick, everyday smoothies, dips, sauces, and more, this blender is perfect. WHY go through the hassle of taking out (and cleaning) a big blender every day??
TL;DR: If you're someone who loves starting the day with a smoothie, enjoys blending smaller quantities of sauces or soups, or simply can't stand the hassle of using and cleaning a full-size blender, the Beast Blender may be the perfect match for you.
Although it's a relatively new blender, the feedback on Amazon and the Beast Blender's website is already incredibly positive.
Take a look at what others are saying:
"To be honest, I bought this mainly because of its look (though I did read reviews confirming it has the power it claims). It not only looks great on my countertop, but it also blends ingredients flawlessly. I love how easy it is to remove the container and change the lid so I can drink directly from it. Plus, it's a breeze to clean, which is a big deal for me. Definitely a solid 5/5 stars. If Beast made more appliances, I'd definitely add them to my collection." —AJ M.
"This is, by far, the best blender I've ever owned. I've tried several similar blenders from Ninja and even one from Blendtec. But compared to those, the Beast has truly impressed me with its engineering and build quality! It’s also remarkably quiet and blends even better. I’m so grateful for such an amazing product! Personally, I think this should be regarded as the new benchmark for modern blenders, the Gold Standard, really. Especially for those of us who just want to make smoothies." —Jeremy J.
"I've tried a lot of devices for making smoothies, but this one stands out! No matter how many vegetables I add, everything blends perfectly without any lumps, unlike other products that leave chunks behind." —Marita Della R.
Style and functionality? It seems like dreams really do come true. If you're interested in trying the Beast Blender for yourself or giving it as a gift, you can find it on Amazon or The Beast for $155 (available in three colors).
