Additionally, the fruits attract birds, which carry the seeds, spreading the tree far and wide. Fruitless varieties like Striblingii avoid these issues and are increasingly favored in landscaping designs.
Fruitless Mulberry Tree Description: The fruitless mulberry forms a dense, rounded crown and can grow to heights of 30 to 50 feet. Its deciduous, serrated leaves vary in color from yellow-green to deep, glossy green. The shape of the leaves is highly variable, ranging from nearly heart-shaped to deeply lobed, often occurring on the same tree. Young branches have an orange hue, which fades as they mature.
