Are you planning to stay in or pick up dinner? Google Maps has been updated with two new search filters to showcase nearby takeout and delivery choices. This feature is currently available on Android and iOS devices in the US, Canada, and France, but users from other regions have also reported seeing the update, so it's worth checking if the feature is available in your area.
How to Locate Delivery and Takeout Choices Using Google Maps

Launch the Google Maps app on your Android device or iPhone/iPad.
Tap on “Delivery” or “Takeout” located below the search bar.
The app will display a list of nearby restaurants that offer delivery or takeout. You can also search for a specific restaurant to check if they provide these options.
In certain cases, selecting a specific restaurant will open the delivery menu directly on the restaurant’s website, or even through a delivery service like GrubHub or UberEats, provided that the link leads to an app already installed on your device.
A quick note: remember to tip your delivery driver or restaurant staff generously, regardless of whether you're using Google Maps to order your meal. In these challenging times, it’s incredible how something as simple as food delivery has taken on a deeper meaning. It supports long-term social distancing efforts and helps businesses remain open during the economic toll of COVID-19. However, it’s crucial to acknowledge the extra risks that frontline workers face in preparing and delivering your meal.
