Since this promotion quietly launched during today’s Apple event, YouTube enthusiasts and gamers are likely rushing to claim it. Additionally, while it’s labeled as “free,” you’ll need to be a $12/month YouTube Premium subscriber, meaning Google will recoup its costs over time while promoting yet another streaming service that could add to your monthly expenses if you decide to join.
Interestingly, Google’s terms and conditions also specify that you must have used the Stadia Pro service in some form—even a trial—by the end of the month to qualify for the offer. This doesn’t seem like a “comply or pay” scenario, but it’s worth noting. Once you receive your free bundle, I doubt you’ll give it another thought.
If you’re eligible, you must claim your free Stadia bundle by December 31. While there’s no reason to delay, you still have ample time if you’re a bit slow to act. Additionally, the offer is currently limited to U.S. and UK residents, though reports suggest Google may expand it to other regions soon.
