In a recent decision, a federal court in California greenlit a $45 million resolution for a class-action lawsuit filed by consumers against Monsanto. The lawsuit accused the company of marketing and selling Roundup and similar herbicides without revealing the presence of a potentially carcinogenic ingredient.
Individuals who bought any of the products involved in the lawsuit can now apply for a share of the settlement. Discover if you qualify for compensation and learn the necessary steps to file your claim.

Who qualifies for a portion of the settlement?
Individuals in the United States who bought any size or variant of the listed products for personal use (not for resale or distribution) during specific time frames are eligible to submit a claim. The applicable purchase dates, or 'class period,' vary by state. Check the period for your state here.
If you’re uncertain about your eligibility to file a claim or have additional questions regarding the settlement, you can reach out to the claims administrator by email at [email protected] or by calling 1-833-749-1489.
What is the estimated payout per person in the settlement?
The amount each individual receives will vary based on the number of herbicide products purchased, the location of purchase, and whether receipts are available. Payments are projected to range between $0.55 and $33 per unit, which is approximately 20% of the retail price.
If you possess a receipt or other proof of purchase that specifies the product and quantity bought, there is no cap on the number of products you can claim.
Individuals who bought Roundup or other included products but lack receipts can still claim one product per year during their state’s designated class period, excluding the three largest concentrated products.
However, don’t anticipate receiving a payment immediately: A final hearing on the settlement is set for January 2023. If the judge approves the payments, they will be distributed shortly thereafter.
