Adding music to iTunes is a simple process. Ezra Bailey / Getty ImagesYou can import songs into iTunes from a variety of sources, such as CDs, a folder of music files on your computer, or even another Mac computer on the same network.
Follow these steps to transfer songs from a CD to iTunes:

- Select Yes to import all songs, or No if you wish to import only selected tracks. If you choose No, uncheck the songs you don't wish to import.
- Click Import CD.
- Wait as iTunes imports the songs (you'll see a progress bar at the bottom of the screen) [source: Apple Support].
