If your pantry contains Quaker cereals or granola bars, you might need to dispose of them. Quaker Oats has issued two separate recalls, one on Dec. 15 and another on Jan. 11, due to possible salmonella contamination in several of its items.
Although both Quaker and the FDA have confirmed that no illnesses have been linked to the recalled products, it’s still wise to verify whether any of your groceries are affected.
Which products from Quaker are included in the recall?
The Dec. 15 and Jan. 11 recalls cover a vast range of products sold across all 50 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Saipan. Please note that Quaker Oats, Quaker Instant Oats, Quaker Grits, Quaker Oat Bran, Quaker Oat Flour, and Quaker Rice Snacks are not part of this recall.
Quaker Chewy Bars
- The recall includes the following varieties: Quaker Big Chewy Bars Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Chocolate, Variety Pack; Quaker Chewy Bars and Dipps Variety Pack; Quaker Chewy Bars in Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Chocolate Chip Holiday Minis, Chocolate Chip Halloween Minis, Chocolate Chip Spring Minis, Chocolate Chip Valentine Minis, Dark Chocolate Chunk, Chocolate Chunk, Less Sugar Chocolate Chip, Less Sugar Cookies & Cream, Less Sugar Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Less Sugar Variety, Oatmeal Raisin, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, S'mores; Quaker Chewy Dipps in Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, Variety Pack; Quaker Chewy Mini Dipps in Birthday Blast, Summer Night S'mores; Quaker Chewy Granola Bars Fruity Fun varieties Amazing Apple, Splendid Strawberry, Amazing Apple & Splendid Strawberry Variety Pack; Quaker Chewy Granola Bars Yogurt varieties Strawberry, Blueberry, and Yogurt Variety Packs.

- The recall includes various Quaker cereals such as Quaker Puffed Granola in Apple Cinnamon, Blueberry Vanilla, and Quaker Simply Granola varieties including Oats, Honey & Almonds, Oats, Honey, Raisins & Almonds, and Protein Granola with Oats, Chocolate & Almonds. Additionally, Quaker Chewy Granola Breakfast Cereals in Chocolate & Strawberry Variety Pack, Chocolate, and Strawberry flavors are also affected. Furthermore, Quaker Oatmeal Squares in Cinnamon, Brown Sugar, Honey Nut, and the Variety Pack are part of the recall, alongside Cap’n Crunch cereals like OOPS! All Berries, Cinnamon Crunch, and Sea Berry Crunch. Lastly, Gamesa Marias cereal is included.
Quaker Cap'n Crunch Instant Oatmeal
- The recall also involves several varieties of Cap’n Crunch Instant Oatmeal, including Cap’n Crunch, OOPS! All Berries, and a variety pack.
Quaker Cereal Bars
- The recall includes Cap'n Crunch Treats Bars, such as Crunch Berries, Peanut Butter Crunch, Original Crunch, and the Variety Pack.
Quaker Snack Boxes
In addition to the previously mentioned products, Quaker is recalling Munches Snack Mix (Munch Mix) and granola bars found in their snack boxes.
