Walmart is often considered the place to find the best prices, but that’s not always the case. Kiplinger has put together a list of products that are cheaper at other stores.
Although Walmart is known for its everyday low prices, competitors can still offer better deals. Kiplinger compared Walmart’s non-sale prices with those of other retailers, using price comparison websites. Here's what they discovered was cheaper elsewhere.
Toys and games: Amazon consistently beat Walmart by a few dollars on most items.
Organic produce: Aldi and Trader Joe's generally have better prices than Walmart, including for organic milk.
Batteries: Bulk warehouse clubs like Costco offer cheaper prices for batteries.
However, it's important to note that Walmart has a price matching policy. While it may be complicated for certain products, the policy guarantees they'll match Amazon prices, as long as the item is not sold by a "marketplace or third-party seller."
