While wearing a face mask to curb the spread of COVID-19 doesn’t affect your oxygen levels, the sensation of breathing in musty air can be unpleasant. As highlighted by Engadget, LG is set to introduce an innovative solution: the PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier, a cutting-edge mask designed to deliver crisp, clean air with every breath.
This advanced mask doesn’t just filter the air—it’s engineered to replicate the natural ease of breathing without a mask. Equipped with a respiratory sensor, it monitors your breathing rate and volume, while the adjustable three-speed fans adapt in real-time. They accelerate during inhalation to provide ample airflow and slow down during exhalation, ensuring a seamless and comfortable breathing experience.
Designed to fit snugly, it ensures your glasses remain fog-free. | LGAs per a press release, the mask’s design is based on “extensive facial shape analysis,” ensuring both comfort for extended wear and a secure fit to prevent unfiltered air from leaking in. The battery offers up to eight hours in low mode and two hours in high mode, though specifics about the differences between these modes remain undisclosed. While charging in its case, UV LED lights sanitize the exterior, eliminating the need for manual cleaning or washing. An accompanying app notifies users when it’s time to replace the filters.
Where can you find LG’s groundbreaking innovation? It’s expected to be available online, though not immediately; the company has announced a release in select markets later this year.
