If you have a basketball, tennis ball, or hula hoop tucked away in your garage, you’re all set for a one-of-a-kind, tough workout. Here's a great core exercise you can try with a basketball:
Basketball Core Challenge
Place yourself on a basketball with your hands resting on the ground for support. Engage your core, lean back slightly (about a foot), and lift your feet off the ground while trying to stay balanced. Once you’ve nailed that, attempt to remove your hands from the ground as well. Hold the position for a count of 10 (or longer if you can manage it).
