Access to COVID-19 vaccines has become more convenient. Recently, all adults in the U.S. have become eligible to schedule vaccine appointments, regardless of their state of residence. Additionally, numerous pharmacy chains are now providing walk-in and same-day vaccination services at most of their locations.
President Biden revealed this week that pharmacies receiving vaccines from the federal government must begin accepting walk-in appointments. Thousands of pharmacies, including major chains, are part of this initiative. CVS provides walk-in services at “select locations,” which reportedly include 8,300 out of their 9,900 sites.
Walgreens now facilitates same-day appointments across all pharmacies and walk-ins at specific locations.
All Walmart and Sam’s Club locations now accept walk-ins. (A Sam’s Club membership is not necessary to receive a vaccine.) Appointments can also be scheduled.
