The ultimate hair chameleon is at it again—yes, Megan Fox has a fresh new look, and this one draws inspiration from the untamed spirit of the Wild West.
Dubbed the “cowgirl bob,” this cut is a modern twist on the pixie and bob trends that have dominated the last year. Fox’s longtime hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, revealed the chop along with the new “espresso martini” hair color on Instagram, where the reaction is exactly what you'd expect...completely obsessed.
“Megan Fox has consistently led the way with every hair trend, both in terms of cuts and colors, but this deep espresso, tousled bob might just be my favorite on her yet!” says Clara Purvis, Stylist and Founder of Noordwyck Salon & Blue Dunes Beauty. “It’s a perfectly effortless, playful bob with loose waves and soft French bangs.”

What exactly is a cowgirl bob?
Fox’s look features delicate French girl bangs paired with blunt, chin-length ends. It’s a tousled, textured take on the classic bob—when requesting this style at the salon, bring along a few reference images to help guide your stylist.
“The cut is essentially a one-length bob with soft textured layers at the ends, complemented by graduated French bangs that smoothly blend into a face-framing style grazing the cheekbones,” says Purvis.
How can I style a cowgirl bob?
For styling, Purvis advises a 'less is more' approach to enhance your natural texture. “Always begin with a heat protectant, like Davines Melu Hair Shield, then rough dry your hair for a lived-in, effortless look,” says Purvis. “Smooth the hair only where necessary, focusing primarily on styling the bangs while leaving the rest more tousled and natural.”

What exactly is espresso martini hair color?
A shift from Fox’s recent bold hair colors, the espresso martini hue is described as “a stunning chocolate brunette with plenty of shine,” according to IGK Hair Care Co-Founder, Chase Kusero. While some may opt for lighter money pieces around the face, Fox’s version starts with a deep brunette base and features subtle highlights of rich chestnut.
Kusero recommends achieving this color using IGK Permanent Color Kits in Bold Brown, followed by an IGK Color Depositing Mask to add extra shine and gloss.

Fortunately, Giannetos shared an Instagram Reel showing how he’s helped Fox maintain her hair’s health through numerous transformations (and there have been plenty).
