It was exactly ten years ago today that I posted Mytour's very first list. At the time, I was testing a few other platforms as well, but Mytour quickly gained traction from the very start, partly thanks to its social media buzz.
In the decade that followed, we experienced numerous transformative moments, including four major redesigns, a change in the chief editor (and then a return to me at the helm), staff transitions, and a shift from offering free content to introducing a paid model for our writers.
It seems only fitting that the most ambitious and costly site overhaul would occur in the year of our tenth anniversary. Progress is moving swiftly, and we're aiming to roll out the new design by September. Here’s a sneak peek of the upcoming look:

As we prepare for the redesign and continue to focus on improving user experience, we've also removed all intrusive ads from the site. This means no sticky footers, no pop-ups, no resizing ads, and no auto-play audio ads.
We’ve implemented numerous behind-the-scenes improvements to boost the site's speed. By utilizing a cloud-based content delivery network, we can now ensure that files are served from locations closest to each reader, as well as route traffic to global hubs. This upgrade not only accelerates loading times but also helps prevent outages.
The primary goal of the redesign is to enhance loading speeds and create a seamless mobile experience, as mobile traffic has grown considerably since our launch a decade ago. While ads will still appear, they will be fewer in number and better positioned to support the business with minimal disruption to your browsing.
To wrap up, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to Mytour’s growth. Without the unwavering dedication of our moderators, writers, and, most importantly, you—the reader—we wouldn’t be celebrating ten incredible years of top 10 lists today!
