The brand has teamed up with several renowned designers, including Jonathan Adler, Morris & Co, and Nina Takesh, to create beautiful prints and colors. Now, they're taking it to the next level with an exciting new launch featuring Justina Blakeney from Jungalow.
Ruggable is just as thrilled about this collaboration, as noted by Cassandra Leisz, the brand's senior creative director: “We’re honored to work with Justina Blakeney, who has been a guiding force in the interior design world for more than ten years. Her vibrant and imaginative design style truly resonated with us, and we can’t wait to infuse some positive energy into homes through the Ruggable x Justina Blakeney collection.”
If you're already acquainted with Jungalow or Justina Blakeney's distinctive style, you won't be surprised to find that this collection boasts vibrant, eclectic designs with bold prints featuring botanicals, animals, and contemporary geometric patterns. "Whether you choose warm, earthy tones or striking bursts of color, these pieces are sure to inject a playful spirit into any space,” Leisz shares.
Here’s everything you need to know about the collection, along with a few of our (and Blakeney’s) favorite picks—and some styling advice straight from the designer herself.
The Collection
This collection includes 15 indoor rugs, two doormats, and two outdoor rugs—there’s a perfect option for every type of home. Sizes and shapes vary, with runner and round rugs included.
“Every design carries its own unique story and inspiration,” Blakeney explains. “Some of the rugs are inspired by my gouache paintings, while others were influenced by my travels to places like New Mexico and Morocco. Sometimes, it’s hard to pinpoint the exact source of inspiration—it just seems to flow out of me.”
Mix and Match-ability
Whether you're just starting to experiment with mixing patterns or you're already an expert, these rugs offer the perfect chance to get creative. “I always consider the scale when combining patterns,” Blakeney explains. “If you have a large pattern, balance it with smaller ones, and vice versa. This helps to avoid the space feeling too chaotic. Also, try sticking to a color palette. I like to choose one or two dominant colors and one or two accent hues, blending them together for a cohesive look.”
For those seeking versatile rugs, the designer suggests Etta, Sonia (available in Sand and Ocean tones), and Nina, as these colors offer softer, more neutral palettes compared to some of the other options.
Eartha
RuggableBlakeney shares that the Eartha rug, which showcases a bold wild animal print against a terracotta orange backdrop, is one of her favorites from the collaboration. Although it can complement various rooms, she has it placed in her living room. “The terracotta really brings a cozy warmth to the room,” she says.
Magdalena
RuggableWith its bold stripes and geometric shapes, the Magdalena rug has a vibe that reminds you of discovering a hidden gem at a flea market on vacation. It's another one of Blakeney's top choices. This lively rug doesn’t take itself too seriously. “I have Magdalena in my kitchen, and that burst of pink really energizes me in the mornings,” Blakeney shares. “Who needs caffeine when you’ve got a hot pink kitchen rug?”
Hilma
RuggableBlakeney has the Hilma rug in her lanai, and it brings her the feels all day long. Its unique angles give it a playful, one-of-a-kind charm. What sets Hilma apart is that it’s available in multiple colorways, with each version offering a completely different look and feel.
Josephine
RuggableFeaturing a lively botanical design, Josephine is the ideal rug for anyone looking to embrace Blakeney’s signature style. It’s a playful piece that makes a bold statement, sure to brighten up any space. It perfectly complements any piece of Jungalow decor.
Tarsila
RuggableWith its striking sophistication, this rug is the perfect choice for anyone looking to add a touch of Jungalow without overwhelming a space with bold colors or prints. Its elegant edge makes it an excellent finishing piece for a bedroom or dining room.
