Pain Erickson sought a chopper that stood out from the rest. Believing others shared his vision, he created a lineup of bikes that reflected his high standards, including the striking Candy Red Suicide Softail.

True to its name, the Suicide Softail showcases a custom-designed rear swingarm with an adjustable air-spring suspension positioned behind the engine. This powerhouse features a 145-cubic-inch V-twin engine, complemented by custom exhaust pipes wrapped in heat-resistant tape. Power is delivered through a 6-speed Baker transmission with a manual shifter, driving a combined sprocket and rear brake system attached to a sleek, chromed rear wheel.
The most striking feature is undoubtedly the custom bodywork, meticulously crafted by Erickson himself. The frame was a collaborative effort between Thee Darkside of Daytona and Killer Choppers. The bike features Springer forks set at a sharp 68-degree rake, far steeper than the typical 38-55 degrees found on most choppers, resulting in a wide turning radius. However, it's clear Erickson designed this one-of-a-kind machine for style rather than practicality.
