Today marks the triumphant end of our June fitness challenge. Have you been consistent with your daily burpees? (Or even just a few days? That’s still progress!) I’m channeling my newfound energy into a spectacular finish—join me if you can.
As I mentioned last week, I was on pace to complete roughly 1,000 burpees this month. Just before heading off on vacation, it hit me: why not tackle 100 burpees in a couple of sessions instead of spreading out 30 a day?
And that’s exactly what I did. Last week, I powered through 100 burpees in one go. Today, I’m repeating the feat, bringing my monthly total to 1,042. With one day remaining, I might even add a symbolic burpee tomorrow.
To clarify: you don’t need to aim for 100 burpees. For me, it was a grueling yet achievable effort. The next day, I felt slightly sore, but nothing that required painkillers or hindered my movement. If you’re feeling confident with your burpee progress, consider a special workout today or tomorrow to celebrate your achievements—whether it’s 10, 20, or 50 burpees, or even a timed challenge to see how many you can complete in 5, 10, or 15 minutes.
No matter what you decide to do, prioritize your well-being and enjoy the process. Let’s reflect on the past month—did you build strength, improve speed, or maintain a consistent streak? If you managed to do even a single burpee this month, you’ve earned my admiration.
