Of course, she was referring to a large, sparkling diamond ring, but Larivière took her request to an entirely different level. He went as far as placing a 20-ton boulder on her front lawn on her birthday, even spray-painting "Happy Birthday" on the rock. A man in Massachusetts, after having his laptop stolen, decided to take matters into his own hands. He hacked into his own device and uncovered an embarrassing video that the thief had recorded.
The thief had recorded a 12-minute video of himself practicing dance moves in front of his webcam. When the victim discovered this footage, he uploaded it to YouTube, with the title, "Don’t steal computers from people who know how to use computers." The video quickly caught the thief's attention, and he eventually returned the laptop to its rightful owner, begging for the video to be removed. The man got his laptop back along with his revenge—and he never took the video down!
7. The Song About Luggage
Some airlines are notorious for mishandling passengers' luggage. Bags are often lost or damaged, and many people feel powerless to do anything about it. But Canadian musician Dave Carroll knew just what to do when his guitar was ruined by an airline.
He turned his frustration into a song about his experience. The track became a viral hit, and within weeks of the YouTube release, the company's stock value plummeted by 10%, as reported by the BBC. This massive loss could have funded over 51,000 replacement guitars for Carroll.
6. Don’t Touch My Food

According to a Reddit post, a man from Leeds, tired of his coworkers stealing his doughnuts, decided to take action. He brought in a fresh batch of doughnuts, injected them with generous amounts of English mustard using a syringe, and resealed the packet. After that, no one dared to take another doughnut after experiencing the mustard-filled surprise.

In 2009, a college student named Jordan Renken took pettiness to a whole new level when, after a night out at a bar, he discovered his car had been towed. Needing $88 to retrieve his car, he was forced to endure a 15-mile walk home due to the situation.
Jordan decided to pay his fine while simultaneously getting revenge on the towing company—he paid the fine in 8,800 pennies! At first, the cashier refused to accept the payment, thinking he was out of his mind, but Jordan had researched the law and knew they had to accept legal tender. He was so persistent that the woman called the police, who arrived and found the situation amusing. After nearly an hour of debate, Jordan managed to get his car back and certainly gave the employee one of the worst days of her career.
4. The Drive-Thru Payback
While public displays of aggression can be overhyped, some of the most satisfying revenge moments are subtle and passive-aggressive. This was the case for a McDonald's drive-thru customer in August 2019, who ordered food—and a bit of revenge as well.
As he was placing his order, an impatient woman behind him began honking and yelling at him for taking too long. Then, in an unexpected turn, he decided to pay for both his food and the woman’s. She immediately began to reconsider her actions. But when he reached the pickup window, he presented receipts for both orders, took both meals, and smugly drove off with the woman's food!
We don’t know the name of this person, and the story has become somewhat of an urban legend. But it still serves as a cautionary tale, which is why it remains on the list—nothing in a drive-thru is worth losing your cool over!
3. The Airport (Doggy) Debacle
Revenge can sometimes have a ripple effect, benefiting more than just the person seeking it. Such was the case for comedian Steve Hofstetter in 2017 when he encountered an incredibly annoying woman at an airport. The woman was speaking loudly on the phone, oblivious to her dog, which had made a mess on the floor. Many onlookers were disgusted and asked her, 'Aren’t you going to clean that up?' To Steve’s disbelief, she responded, 'They have people for that.'
Everyone else in the boarding area kept their distance from her, but Steve decided to sit next to her. He politely asked where she was heading, and she replied, 'Tokyo.' Seizing the opportunity, Steve told her, 'Oh, you'd better hurry. Your flight was moved to gate 53C. This one’s going to London.' The woman rushed to the opposite end of the airport, only to realize too late that she had been tricked. By the time she figured it out, she had missed her flight! Steve had only meant to give her a brief moment of panic, not a full-on disaster.

In 2018, Angel Exford from London got the ultimate revenge on her boyfriend after realizing he had been deceiving her. She started noticing odd signs, like photos of expensive cars on his Instagram, despite his apparent lack of funds. On their first date, he claimed he had lost his wallet, and they ended up using Angel's card to cover the meal.
It turns out that the man had stolen her credit card information on the same day and had been using it to buy Instagram followers, as well as gifts for another girlfriend!
