1. Sculpted Pixie
The sculpted pixie blends hair with art, offering a laid-back yet sophisticated look that can be customized to enhance your unique features.
"I love this pixie cut because it flatters people of all ages," says Nick Stenson, hairstylist and artistic director of L'Oreal Matrix. "This bold style typically features close tapering around the ears and hairline, with softer layers on top. It also includes shorter bangs for a versatile, away-from-the-face style."
To achieve a softer appearance, Stenson recommends asking your stylist to leave the length slightly longer.
2. Mod Pixie
This ultra-short pixie exudes chicness and channels the spirit of mod icon Twiggy. Though inspired by the '60s, it still feels incredibly modern.
"The mod pixie gives you a bold, confident look, yet can easily be softened for a more feminine vibe," says Sienree, a Los Angeles-based stylist and ambassador for Mane Addicts. "This cut is all about graphic, geometric lines that are polished and clean. It’s perfect for anyone with dense hair or straight to wavy textures. It reminds me of the classic Vidal Sassoon style and just resonates with me on a different level."
Sienree emphasizes that this cut demands skill, so ensure your stylist is up for the task. Be prepared for regular maintenance every three to four weeks to keep the shape intact.

3. Undercut Pixie
The undercut pixie works for all hair textures and is a striking, daring choice that blends both length and a bold crop. It also provides ample opportunity to experiment with different styling options.
"With an undercut pixie, the sides and nape are clipped short while the top is left longer for versatility," explains Stenson. "This gives you the option to wear your hair in its natural texture for ease, or to straighten it for a completely different style."
4. Pixie Bob
Bob meets pixie. "This bold twist on the French girl bob is absolutely adorable. It’s shorter than a typical bob, but longer than your usual pixie cut," says Sienree. "I adore this style for straight to curly textures. The longer top section allows for texturing and shaping to suit your face shape perfectly."
This cut is perfect for those not ready to fully commit to a super-short haircut, but still want to try something a bit more daring.
5. Tousled, Choppy Pixie
"This pixie typically has a soft hairline and is perfect for those with naturally wavy or straight hair," says Stenson. "It’s the ideal cut for people who prefer to stretch time between salon visits and like to keep product use minimal. I adore its effortless elegance and how it complements any wardrobe or makeup shift."
Styling is super simple — just grab a texturizing product, give it a bit of tousle, and you're all set.
6. K-Pop Pixie
This look has been a favorite among Asian pop stars for years, says Sienree, and it's showing no signs of fading. The K-Pop pixie is essentially a square, graduated pixie inspired by the '90s. "The cut gently fades from the neckline and is graduated right at the eyes, creating a flattering head shape. I love this style on all hair textures, but it especially shines on straight to curly hair," says Sienree.
