If there's one thing that stands above all else for success—whether you're an entrepreneur, freelancer, employee, or simply in life—it could be this: Make more friends.
John O'Nolan, the founder of Ghost.org, refers to this as the secret ingredient, citing a tweet from Dharmesh Shah, Hubspot's founder:
Why does this matter? O'Nolan explains two reasons: People tend to work with those they know, like, and trust. Plus, friends genuinely care about your success.
When O'Nolan says "make more friends," he’s not referring to shallow networking or collecting contacts. He means form real, meaningful friendships with people you admire and want to help succeed. Ultimately, everything boils down to relationships.
