In March 2019, the Bend, Oregon Blockbuster became the last surviving Blockbuster store on Earth. If browsing its nostalgic '90s offerings isn't enough, you’ll soon have the chance to spend the night there for the price of a movie rental.
According to CNN Travel, the final Blockbuster will be available to book on Airbnb for just $4 a night starting August 17. Sandi Harding, who’s managed the store since 2004, has transformed the space to mimic the classic VHS rental experience, perfect for an old-school movie night.

Of course, popcorn and other traditional movie snacks are available for the full experience.
Be Kind. Rewind. | AirbnbThis year marks the 20th anniversary of the Bend Blockbuster’s grand opening. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a large celebration wasn’t possible, but Harding found a way to commemorate the milestone with a more intimate gathering. “With everyone stuck at home and rediscovering family time together, we thought it would be fun to enjoy some quality moments in a nostalgic '90s setting,” she shared with CNN.
When bookings open on Airbnb on August 17, guests will have the opportunity to book their one-night stay for September 18, 19, or 20. The space can accommodate up to four people, with preference given to guests from the same household.
