
While social distancing is important for everyone right now, it is especially crucial for seniors. To support this vulnerable group, numerous grocery stores have introduced special shopping hours for elderly customers. Below is a list of the stores we know of so far. Whole Foods
Whole Foods is giving customers over 60 the opportunity to shop one hour before the store opens to the public every day.
Target
Target has set aside the first hour every Wednesday exclusively for elderly shoppers and those with health conditions that may make them more vulnerable.
Smart and Final
Seniors can shop daily from 7:30 to 8:00 am. An ID will be required for entry.
Fresh Market
Fresh Market is reserving its first hour of operation each weekday for seniors and other high-risk individuals.
Stop & Shop
Stop & Shop will open from 6:00 am to 7:30 am exclusively for customers over 60.
Safeway
Safeway stores offer dedicated shopping hours for seniors every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.
Albertsons
Albertsons and its affiliated grocery stores are offering seniors exclusive access from 7:00 am to 9:00 am every Tuesday and Thursday.
