A week has passed, and Nintendo still hasn't patched the latest exploit in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which lets players duplicate specific items at no cost. If this glitch gets fixed or you're looking for a way to clone any item in your inventory—the ultimate exploit—another method has surfaced. Here's how it works.
As usual, combining a video tutorial with the written guide will likely give you the best chance of mastering this glitch. To begin, you'll need to enlist the help of friends or family. Everyone must be in the same room, with at least two people registered to your island—meaning they have houses there, and you'll all be sharing one Switch screen.
(You can also perform this glitch solo by controlling additional players yourself, but doesn’t that seem a bit isolating?)
This item-duplication glitch might not be feasible for most players unless you're open to removing some villagers from your fully populated island. However, the allure of unlimited free items might be too tempting to ignore.
Once you're set, use the in-game mail system to send one to three items you wish to duplicate to another player on your island. After they confirm receiving the items, use the NookPhone's 'Call Resident' app to bring them to your location.
As detailed by Nintendo Life:
“Assign the mail recipient as the leader and have them open their mail. They should unwrap the presents and drop the items on the ground. Immediately after, use the Call Resident app to switch to a different player. Once the new player joins, end the session. You’ll notice the items remain on the ground, and the mail recipient still has the items in their mailbox, allowing you to repeat the process endlessly.”

As usual, there's no certainty how long this glitch will remain active. If you plan to exploit it to build a stunning island filled with costly, resource-heavy items, act quickly. Otherwise, you’ll have to rely on the Stalk Market once again.
