Acclaimed actress and fashion icon Elizabeth Taylor’s personal belongings are set to take center stage at two major auction events this year. Fans and collectors alike will have the chance to bid on rare pieces from her illustrious estate.
The first auction, organized by Guernsey's, will take place on August 6 at New York City’s Pierre Hotel, where Taylor once resided with her then-husband Eddie Fisher. Among the highlights is her 1960 Rolls Royce, famously known as the “Green Goddess,” a vehicle she acquired shortly after marrying Fisher and retained even after her relationship with Richard Burton began. Additional items include a pale pink satin clutch adorned with diamond rhinestones, designed by Christian Louboutin in the early 2000s, and a striking green silk evening dress by Gianni Versace from the 1990s, featuring short sleeves and a front bow.

Prior to the December auction, the collection will be displayed aboard the Queen Mary 2, the Cunard cruise ship departing from Southampton, UK, on October 18 and arriving in New York City on October 25. Passengers will have the exclusive chance to bid on a curated selection of items from Taylor’s estate.
Beyond her legendary roles in iconic films such as 1958’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, 1963’s Cleopatra, and 1966’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Taylor was equally celebrated for her seven marriages and her tireless advocacy in the fight against AIDS, founding The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation in 1991.
The pieces featured in both auctions capture the essence of Taylor, a true Hollywood legend whose glamour, elegance, and charisma defined the golden age of cinema for over 50 years. “Taylor was a monumental figure, a once-in-a-lifetime star who personified Hollywood’s allure and sophistication in a way no other celebrity has matched—or likely ever will,” remarked Darren Julien, president and CEO of Julien’s Auctions, in a statement.
