[This list features a competition – check the bonus entry for more information.] Today, we celebrate Mytour’s anniversary! Over the past four years since its launch, the site has achieved over 290 million page views. Its consistent growth is a direct result of the dedication of our contributors and readers. To commemorate this special occasion, we’ve curated a list of the ten most-viewed articles since the site’s inception.
10. Incredible Recordings

List: Top 10 Incredible Recordings List By: Jamie Frater
It’s astonishing to see this list still ranking among the top 10 most popular. It was one of my earliest creations and the one that brought our first massive audience after trending on Digg. If you haven’t explored it yet, I highly recommend it – it features some truly haunting recordings that will stay with you forever. This list remains one of my all-time favorites.
9. Strange Universe

List: 10 Strange Things About The Universe List By: Jeff Johnson
Initially, it seemed this list might be too complex for non-scientists, but it unexpectedly gained immense popularity and attracted a large audience. It even sparked over 270 comments. Science-themed lists often resonate well, particularly with external audiences, and this one was no different.
8. Damaging Photos

List: Top 10 Careers Damaged by Photos List By: Paul Holtum
Paul Holtum (blogball) has been a consistent contributor to Mytour since its early days, and his lists consistently attract significant attention. This particular list marked the start of his series focusing on impactful photographs. Thanks to the notoriety of some images featured, it gained immense popularity both on and off Mytour, amassing over 900 Facebook likes.
7. Biblical Facts

List: 10 Biblical Facts Everyone Gets Wrong List By: Jamie Frater
Religious-themed lists often spark debate, and this one was no different. However, since it focused on common factual misconceptions, it was slightly less contentious than many others. If you consider yourself a Biblical expert, take a look at this list – you might be surprised by how many inaccuracies you’ve believed about the holy text.
6. World Mysteries

List: 10 More Unsolved Mysteries of the World List By: Rhyno and Jamie Frater
Collaborating on lists is something I rarely do – in fact, I’ve only done it four or five times. This was one of those rare occasions. Lists about mysteries are always a hit here, and with 4,000 Facebook likes, it’s clear they’re a favorite offsite as well. This particular list sparked 376 comments, many of which are highly entertaining. If you enjoy our mystery lists, don’t miss this one.
5. Human Abilities

List: 9 Extraordinary Human Abilities List By: Tempyra
4. The Unexplained

List: 10 More Mysteries of the Unexplained List By: Jamie Frater
This list was inspired by item 9 – the Hopkinsville Goblins. I came across the story and was so captivated that I felt compelled to create an entire list around it. If you’re looking for a bedtime scare, read the account – it’s truly spine-chilling. This remains one of my all-time favorite mystery lists.
3. Mysterious Creatures

List: 10 More Terrifying and Mysterious Creatures List By: Stephen King (not the author)
Many comments on this list were about the author – I didn’t clarify that it wasn’t THE Stephen King. It’s understandable why people might assume it was the famous horror writer, given the topic. While this Stephen King isn’t the master of horror, he crafted an exceptional list that has outshone all others in popularity. If you haven’t read it yet, do so – but be warned, it might keep you up at night!
2. Secret Codes

List: Top 10 Codes You Aren’t Meant to Know List By: Jamie Frater
I can’t recall exactly what sparked the idea for this list, but out of all the ones I’ve written, it’s likely my favorite. It delves into the various codes that exist around us, often unnoticed or intentionally hidden. Take a look before your next mall visit – you might gain a new perspective on the announcements you hear over the loudspeakers.
1. September 11

List: 10 Events Surrounding September 11 List By: Bryan J
Bryan J is a newer contributor to Mytour, and his exceptional writing has been well-received by everyone. Considering the numerous conspiracy theories tied to September 11, it’s no wonder this list became so popular. When I published it last year, I never anticipated it would resonate so widely.
+ Competition

To celebrate our fourth anniversary, I’m hosting a competition. Tomorrow, following the release of the latest list, I’ll randomly select four commenters to win a copy of our upcoming book, “I Call Bullshit,” set to launch this November. The book is packed with myth-busting content and dispels common misconceptions, combining popular lists from Mytour with original research. Learn more about the book here. Good luck! If you’re unsure what to comment, feel free to share your favorite list and why you love it.
