Between 1978 and 1995, the Central Intelligence Agency operated a classified initiative named Stargate. The aim was to develop a team of individuals termed 'psychic warriors'—people with extraordinary capabilities enabling them to infiltrate enemy facilities, influence physical objects, and foresee future events.
This initiative wasn’t the work of a handful of eccentric individuals. The government invested millions into the psychic warrior project. Employing strict scientific protocols, they investigated the validity of these abilities and were sufficiently persuaded to deploy their psychics in numerous critical missions.
While this might appear utterly absurd, the majority of Stargate documentation declares it a triumph. The CIA collaborated with psychics for almost two decades, and the outcomes are compelling enough to make even the most doubtful individuals reconsider.
10. Psychics Conducted Remote Viewing of Classified Files

The CIA primarily utilized psychics for 'remote viewing,' which involved harnessing their abilities to perceive contents within sealed envelopes or buildings. Initial experiments involved placing images in sealed envelopes and requesting psychics to describe them. Their responses were astonishingly precise.
These psychics demonstrated remarkable capabilities. In one instance, the CIA transmitted a message to a psychic by writing it on paper, and the psychic, located in a separate building, accurately recited it verbatim. In another test, a computer in a shielded room generated a random sequence of 1s and 0s, which certain psychics successfully replicated.
The CIA even tasked psychics with examining classified documents. They detailed the storage facilities, book colors, subject matters, lengths, and even the authors of the documents. According to reports, their descriptions were 'remarkably precise,' with one psychic even identifying a construction team present in the building.
'Remote viewing is a genuine phenomenon,' the CIA concluded following their experiments. They were confident in its potential to access adversaries' classified materials. The report affirmed that psychic warriors possess 'significant application potential.'
9. A Psychic Detailed the Ancient History of Mars

In 1984, the CIA conducted an experiment designed to debunk psychics as frauds. They instructed a psychic to remotely view a location written on a card. However, instead of an Earth-based location, the card read, 'The Planet Mars. 1 million years BC.'
The agents likely anticipated the psychic would embarrass himself by describing Earth-like features such as buildings or trees. Instead, the psychic depicted pyramid-like structures, obelisks, rugged mountain ranges, and an unusual Sun. He described the mountains as 'yellowish, ah... okra-colored,' frequently expressing confusion at the vast scale of what he observed. 'Everything seems oversized,' he noted.
When prompted to delve further into the past, the psychic described tall, slender individuals clad in peculiar attire. He followed them into a structure resembling the interior of a massive vessel, with 'smooth, curved walls and reflective metal surfaces.'
'They’re dying,' the psychic stated. 'They’re searching for a way to survive, but they’re unable to.' Their surroundings had begun to collapse, and they had dispatched individuals to locate a new habitat. Now, they could only hope for their scouts to return.
'Oh God, this is overwhelming,' the psychic eventually exclaimed, visibly frustrated and bewildered by his visions. 'It’s all so vast and otherworldly, like scenes from space.'
8. The CIA Collaborated with Police Psychics

As law enforcement began enlisting psychics to assist in criminal investigations, the CIA took notice. While many dismissed these officers, the CIA viewed them as a valuable resource. This collaboration offered a fresh angle to their ongoing experiments.
Researchers funded by the CIA contacted these police officers and analyzed their outcomes. According to the report, eight out of eleven officers who consulted psychics received 'previously undisclosed information that proved valuable to their investigations.' In three instances, psychics were credited with locating missing bodies.
Based on police input, the researchers compiled a manual on employing psychics. They cautioned that psychic insights were often vague and required interpretation. Nevertheless, they advocated for their use, suggesting psychics could assist in prioritizing leads and locating missing individuals.
7. The CIA Deployed Psychics in Critical Hostage Situations

Psychic warriors played a role in actual missions. By 1983, the CIA had executed 700 operations utilizing psychics, with reports indicating an 85% accuracy rate in their intelligence. This level of precision matched that of other intelligence-gathering methods employed by the agency.
Amid the Iran hostage crisis, psychic warriors were tasked with employing remote viewing to monitor the hostages. The CIA had these psychics detail the locations and activities of the hostages, which were later verified against firsthand intelligence.
Following the abduction of Colonel William R. Higgins in Lebanon, psychics pinpointed his location and provided descriptions of the surrounding buildings. They also tracked the movements of his captors, all before the CIA had concrete information.
Despite the accurate intelligence provided by psychics regarding Higgins' location, the CIA did not act on it. Higgins was ultimately killed by his captors, but the subsequent discovery of his body confirmed the psychics' earlier reports.
6. Experiments In Telekinesis

Beyond remote viewing, the CIA explored telekinetic abilities and teleportation. Although limited declassified details exist, these experiments reportedly achieved significant advancements.
The CIA carried out and financed multiple tests to evaluate stage magician Uri Geller's psychic capabilities. Even under strict conditions with their most doubtful scientist, Geller reportedly bent a metal strip by 10 degrees.
The agency didn’t limit their studies to Geller. They also examined other psychics, such as a 13-year-old boy named Stephen, who participated with his parents. Stephen demonstrated the ability to bend aluminum using his mind, and the CIA conducted scientific analyses on the metal's alterations. In a separate test, Jean-Pierre Girard was found to mentally alter the thickness of a metal strip without bending it.
5. The Superhuman Phasing Powers Of Zhang Baosheng

The CIA became intrigued upon learning about Zhang Baosheng, a Chinese man who asserted he possessed extraordinary abilities, including the power to move objects through solid walls without causing damage. He underwent rigorous testing in both America and China, with scientists documenting the experiments on film.
During one test, researchers placed medication tablets inside a securely sealed bottle and instructed Zhang to retrieve them. As Zhang focused on the bottle, it began to shake violently, causing the tablets to split in half. Miraculously, without breaking the seal, all the tablets ended up outside the bottle.
Using a high-speed camera capturing 400 frames per second, they recorded the event. Upon reviewing the footage in slow motion, they discovered a single frame, lasting just 1/400th of a second, showing a tablet partially protruding through the bottle's side, seemingly passing through the glass without any damage.
“Following these penetrations, the microscopic structure and properties of the objects remain unchanged,” the CIA stated. “The experiment confirmed that Mr. Zhang Baosheng exhibits paranormal capabilities.”
4. Faith Healers Generate A Heat Aura

A translated Russian letter in the CIA archives suggests that faith healers may indeed possess genuine abilities.
The letter discusses 'Kirlian photography,' a technique pioneered by Semyon Kirlian. By placing an object on a photographic plate and exposing it to high voltage, Kirlian found that it creates an image surrounded by an electric glow.
Some interpret this glow as something mystical, suggesting it reveals a person’s aura or qi. However, it is widely regarded as a natural electrical phenomenon.
The CIA’s letter, however, hints at something beyond the natural. It mentions a faith healer named A. Krivorotov, who allowed Kirlian to test his technique on him. Krivorotov healed individuals through touch, and when Kirlian examined him, the electric glow around his finger was significantly larger and more vibrant than any previously recorded.
In further testing, Krivorotov’s hands exhibited 3–5 times the electrical resistance of an average person. Additionally, when he placed his hands near someone, they emitted heat reaching approximately 50 degrees Celsius (122 °F).
The author concluded that spiritual healers might have a scientific basis. Krivorotov appeared to possess an enhanced electrical field that naturally produced heat. This field, they theorized, could potentially influence biological processes within an organism.
3. The Russians And The Chinese Were Also Involved

While the CIA declassified the majority of its Stargate documents, revealing their activities, this phenomenon wasn’t exclusive to the U.S. Both the Soviets and the Chinese were actively conducting their own psychic experiments, potentially uncovering even more than the Americans.
The Soviets initiated psychic research before the Americans, prompting the CIA to investigate only after President Jimmy Carter directed them to assess Soviet psychic capabilities. The CIA’s efforts initially focused on understanding Soviet advancements and closing the knowledge gap.
The Soviets appeared to be more deeply engaged in psychic warfare than the Americans. Although details of their research remain scarce, evidence suggests Soviet intelligence operations in this field surpassed the scope of the CIA’s Stargate Program.
Even the Chinese established an organization known as the 'All-China Paranormal Physical Abilities Joint Testing Group,' suggesting that other nations likely conducted similar experiments.
The secrets hidden within these programs remain unknown, as does the credibility of these reports. However, one fact is undeniable: During the Cold War, psychic warriors were not dismissed as myths or fantasies by global superpowers. They were regarded as legitimate and strategic tools of warfare.
2. CIA Psychics Foresaw Future Events

Psychic warriors weren’t limited to observing current events. Some demonstrated the ability to predict future occurrences, and the CIA actively incorporated these fortune-telling psychics into military strategies.
Psychics were tasked with envisioning a specific location on a future date, detailing their observations, and then comparing their predictions to actual events. Many of these experiments remain classified. However, in one of the most detailed declassified cases, a psychic described targets moving 'tube-like objects' into a hidden facility and concealing them. The description of the facility was deemed highly accurate, while the tubes were considered unverified but 'plausible.'
The CIA also employed psychics during Operation Desert Storm. One psychic accurately forecasted the timing of air strikes and rainfall. Additionally, the psychic predicted Iraq’s incursion into Saudi Arabia 15 days before it occurred.
1. Solar Flares Affect Psychic Abilities

A six-year study investigated whether electromagnetic forces could enhance psychic abilities. The CIA explored various methods, from tracking celestial changes to positioning psychics near microwaves. The most significant findings, however, were linked to solar flares.
A strong, direct link was observed between the success rates of CIA psychic experiments and solar activity. While sunspots had a minor and unpredictable impact, solar flares demonstrated a more substantial influence.
On days when solar flares occurred, psychic performance notably declined, resulting in inaccurate and error-prone predictions. However, the following day, their abilities significantly improved. Twenty-four hours after the flare subsided, psychics experienced a heightened perceptual boost, achieving their highest accuracy rates.
