Previously, we’ve released four detailed compilations of widely accepted conspiracy theories—a topic that consistently garners significant interest. Now, we’re introducing a new list featuring theories supported by a much smaller audience, which, interestingly, leads to some rather unconventional and peculiar ideas.
10. Babylon

Certain Rastafarians argue that a dominant white supremacist system, referred to as “Babylon,” governs the world to suppress the African population. They claim that Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia did not pass away in 1975 as reported, and that the biased, white-controlled media (“Babylon”) spread this falsehood to undermine the Rastafari Movement and its mission to dismantle Babylon. Conversely, other Rastafarians advocate for harmony and solidarity, viewing Babylon as a symbolic representation of the oppressive societal structures that marginalize groups like Africans and the economically disadvantaged worldwide.
9. Flight 007

Korean Air Lines Flight 007, a civilian aircraft operated by Korean Air Lines, was shot down by Soviet fighter jets on September 1, 1983, after entering restricted Soviet airspace over the Sea of Japan. This incident has sparked enduring debates and numerous conspiracy theories, often fueled by Cold War-era misinformation and propaganda. Key points of contention include the suppression of critical evidence like the flight data recorders and unresolved details, such as the involvement of a USAF RC-135 surveillance plane. Theories surrounding the event often align with the political leanings of their proponents: right-wing perspectives echo the US government’s stance in 1983, while left-wing views reflect the Soviet narrative. Critics have also pointed out that the ICAO report overlooked crucial aspects, such as the cause of the aircraft’s deviation from its intended flight path.
8. Digital TV

Some conspiracy theorists argue that the mandatory shift to digital television broadcasting is a real-world implementation of the “Big Brother” idea. They allege that tiny cameras and microphones are embedded in set-top boxes and modern TVs to surveil individuals. Another theory suggests that mind-control technology is concealed within the digital signal, intended to manipulate thoughts, emotions, and even enable subliminal advertising. If you’re purchasing a digital TV, they advise inspecting it for any hidden surveillance devices!
7. Modern Nazis

Martin Bormann (17 June 1900 – 2 May 1945?) was a high-ranking Nazi figure who served as the head of the Party Chancellery and Adolf Hitler’s personal secretary. He wielded significant influence in the Third Reich by managing access to Hitler and controlling the inner circle around him. After World War II, Bormann disappeared and was tried in absentia during the Nuremberg Trials. Over the next 20 years, unverified sightings of Bormann were reported worldwide, especially in Europe, Paraguay, and other parts of South America. Some rumors suggested he underwent plastic surgery to evade capture. In 1967, Simon Wiesenthal claimed there was substantial evidence Bormann was alive in South America. Radio host David Emory has further alleged that Bormann never died and has established a global network involving figures like the Bush family, Hassan al Banna, Grover Norquist, Meyer Lansky, and Michael Chertoff.
6. Natural Quake or Not?

Some theorists suggest that the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami might have been deliberately triggered by a “tsunami bomb”—a nuclear device exploded strategically beneath the ocean. They argue that such technology is plausible, given that military research into similar methods dates back to World War II. Declassified documents reveal that secret experiments involving explosions to create “mini-tidal waves” were carried out near New Zealand in 1944 and 1945. The U.S. Defense Department had also raised concerns about earthquake-generating technologies in warfare long before the 2004 catastrophe. In 1997, Defense Secretary William S. Cohen warned, “There are those exploring eco-terrorism, capable of altering climates, triggering earthquakes, and erupting volcanoes remotely using electromagnetic waves. Ingenious minds are constantly devising new ways to inflict terror on other nations. This is real, and it’s why we must redouble our efforts to counter such threats.”
5. Phar Lap

Phar Lap (1926–1932) was a legendary New Zealand Thoroughbred racehorse who became a symbol of hope during the early years of the Great Depression. Born in New Zealand and trained in Australia, Phar Lap dominated the racing scene, securing victories in the Melbourne Cup, two Cox Plates, and 19 other weight-for-age races. On April 5, 1932, his caretaker, Tommy Woodcock, discovered the horse in agonizing pain with a high fever. Phar Lap died shortly after from severe hemorrhaging. Speculation about his death grew when a post-mortem examination revealed inflammation in his stomach and intestines, leading many to believe he had been poisoned. In 2006, Australian Synchrotron Research scientists concluded that Phar Lap likely ingested a lethal dose of arsenic shortly before his death, fueling theories that U.S. gangsters, fearing losses from illegal betting, orchestrated his demise.
4. Rome is the Seat of the Antichrist

This theory is primarily embraced by certain fundamentalist Christian Protestant groups in the United States. It claims that the Vatican, led by the Pope, represents the antichrist and exists solely to bring about societal destruction. While the evidence supporting this claim is easily debunked through basic academic research, it remains a topic of fascination. Intriguingly, even some Catholics believe that Rome may one day become the antichrist’s headquarters as part of the events leading to the end times and final judgment. This belief is partly influenced by the 1846 apparitions of the Virgin Mary to two children in La Salette, France, where one child reported the Virgin stating, “Rome will lose the Faith and become the seat of the Antichrist.” The Vatican has deemed these apparitions worthy of belief, allowing Catholics to decide for themselves whether to accept them. 3. The Great Electronic Conspiracy

The Theory of Electronic Conspiracy is considered a modern variation of New World Order conspiracy theories. It revolves around the idea that a clandestine group has sought global domination for centuries, even if their ultimate goal would result in worldwide destruction. According to this theory, the plan for global control has been in motion since ancient times and unfolds in the following stages:
1. The shift from precious metal-based currency to paper money, which began during the Renaissance. This transition introduced paper notes as a more convenient medium, backed by the state’s promise to exchange them for tangible assets like gold or silver upon demand. 2. The emergence of virtual money through credit cards, where currency becomes entirely digital, represented by numbers stored on magnetic strips rather than physical objects. 3. The rise of the Internet and e-commerce, eliminating the need for credit cards as transactions can be conducted directly from any Internet-connected device. 4. The consolidation of global banking power through continuous international mergers, concentrating financial control in the hands of a few. 5. The global rollout of electronic identity cards, further integrating individuals into a digital system. 6. A catastrophic worldwide blackout, where a massive planetary-scale electrical failure erases all electronic account data simultaneously. This event would plunge the world into chaos and poverty, reverting civilization to primitive forms of survival and slavery. This is the ultimate goal of the secret organization orchestrating this centuries-long plan. Smaller, partial blackouts would serve as tests and signals, indicating the progression of their agenda. Examples include the widespread blackouts in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom in the early 21st century, particularly following the September 11, 2001 attacks.

2. World Bank

The New World Order (item one on this list) is believed to manipulate the wealth of nations through central banks by controlling currency issuance. The Federal Reserve System, established in 1913 as the U.S. central bank, is theorized to be a mechanism for transferring wealth from the poor and middle classes to international bankers aligned with the New World Order. Additionally, conspiracy theorists argue that the World Bank exerts influence over global government policies. In a recent development, the Copenhagen global warming summit proposed a document that would allocate all funds from carbon taxes and emission trading schemes to the World Bank’s control.
1. New Coke

A popular conspiracy theory surrounding the Coca-Cola Company suggests that the introduction of New Coke, an inferior formula, was a deliberate strategy to boost demand for their original product, which was later reintroduced for financial gain. Another theory posits that the switch allowed Coca-Cola to replace sugar with cheaper corn syrup in the “classic” formula. However, this theory is undermined by the fact that New Coke was launched globally, yet only in North America is the reintroduced Classic Coke made with corn syrup—due to U.S. government policies on sugar. In other regions, Classic Coke continues to be produced with sugar.
