The legend of Bigfoot and Sasquatch remains one of the world's greatest mysteries. Each year, thousands of reports surface detailing encounters with large, hairy, two-legged humanoid creatures. These sightings span the globe, with the beings referred to by various names such as Sasquatch, Yeti, Yowie, Yeren, Almas, Barmanou, Skunk Ape, Mande Barung, Ban-manush, and Orang Pendek. Over the past 25 years, numerous organizations have formed, aiming to scientifically validate Bigfoot's existence. Evidence like DNA from hair samples, footprints, photographs, and video recordings has been gathered and analyzed to build a profile of the creature. With technological advancements, the number of videos claiming to capture Sasquatch has surged.
Many clips feature brief, often shaky footage. The creatures consistently evade the camera, showcasing remarkable stealth. In numerous Bigfoot videos, the camera operator only notices the Sasquatch upon reviewing the footage later. Another common theme in these clips is a Bigfoot observing human activity, only to flee after being startled by a loud noise. These videos often depict the creature glancing back at the filmmaker. As we progress into the 21st century, online discussions have centered around an upcoming Bigfoot documentary and the potential to prove the creature's existence. This article highlights the top 20 unexplained Sasquatch videos.
In many Bigfoot videos, the event lasts mere seconds, making it difficult to discern all details in the scene. This often hinders a thorough review of the action, so the included videos come with detailed analyses to help viewers understand the footage. It's important to note that the scientific community does not currently accept the existence of Bigfoot. Many online skeptics quickly dismiss photographic and video evidence, often labeling it as a hoax. Some footage is simply too blurry. As one humorous observation goes, 'I think Bigfoot is blurry. That’s the issue. It’s not the photographer’s fault. Bigfoot is blurry. There’s a large out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.'
20. Sasquatch: The Quest

Let’s kick off the article with a sneak peek into the upcoming Sasquatch documentary by the Erickson Project. In 2005, Adrian Erickson, a Canadian, initiated an extensive field study on Sasquatch across Canada and the USA. The project aims to achieve recognition of Bigfoot as a distinct species or sub-species. The documentary’s release is timed with Dr. Melba Ketchum’s DNA findings. The film has garnered attention due to the excitement surrounding never-before-seen Bigfoot footage and encounters. Adrian Erickson has been acquiring Sasquatch videos exclusively for the documentary. One notable example is a 2005 clip from Kentucky, showing a juvenile Bigfoot eating pancakes for several seconds.
The video concludes with a hand entering the frame and pulling the young Sasquatch away. The footage was eventually leaked online, sparking widespread debate. As with any compelling Bigfoot video, it captured public interest. The owner quickly removed it from the internet and sold it to Adrian Erickson for $20,000. Speculation suggests the clip will appear in the documentary. Rumors also hint at an unreleased Bigfoot video that might be featured, with some blogs claiming its quality surpasses the famous Patterson-Gimlin footage. The incident involved multiple witnesses in Kentucky who observed a Bigfoot for 20-30 seconds near a site studied for the Erickson documentary.
Details remain unclear, but reports indicate the footage comprises 15 separate clips captured by a group of individuals. The most renowned clip, lasting 14 seconds, depicts a female Sasquatch glancing around. It reportedly offers a clear view of the creature’s face, revealing human-like features such as a nose, pink lips, a black tongue, pointed teeth, a pronounced brow, and deep-set eyes. The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) has partnered with Animal Planet for a new series, Finding Bigfoot. The BFRO has reserved certain Sasquatch clips for the show. The six-part series premiered on June 5, 2011, featuring a 2003 clip from Montana’s Glacier National Park showing a running Bigfoot and a Wisconsin video of a large Sasquatch.
19. Siberian Sasquatch

In 2009, a Russian documentary on Siberian Bigfoot was released, gaining attention for a 3-second clip featuring an unidentified hominoid. Siberia covers 77% of Russia’s landmass, stretching from the Ural Mountains to the Pacific and Arctic watersheds, and from the Arctic Ocean to the hills of north-central Kazakhstan and the borders of Mongolia and China. The region’s mountain ranges have a rich history of Sasquatch encounters, with sightings continuing to this day.
What to Look For
The footage captures a sizable humanoid figure that closely matches the Sasquatch description. Filmed by an anonymous individual, the creature is only noticed as the camera pans away from the scene. The figure, unnoticed during filming, exhibits a uniform color, a cone-shaped head, elongated arms, and a ridged spine with hairless patches. Its movements suggest intelligence, as it walks away when the camera shifts. The brief sequence has faced criticism, but the hominoid displays white feet and an unusual gait, consistent with other Sasquatch videos. It appears to walk with an inline step along a strategic ridge.
18. Estes Park Bigfoot

In 2007, Jim Holder and his son recorded a video of an unidentified hominoid in Estes Park, Colorado, home to the Rocky Mountain National Park headquarters. The clip, captured on a cell phone, suffers from poor quality. Despite this, the encounter was widely covered in Colorado newspapers, with claims of authentic Sasquatch footage. However, after its release, the Holder family faced significant backlash, with accusations that the video was a hoax. Months later, the family publicly stated that Jim had been deceived. Speculation arose due to claims that the creature’s penis was visible and circumcised. Nevertheless, the figure’s characteristics align with the Sasquatch profile, and its movements are unique, unlikely to be replicated by a human.
What to Look For
The footage depicts an auburn-colored Sasquatch taking 12 steps through a forest. As it moves, the creature abruptly halts behind a tree, showcasing a skilled tree-peeking maneuver. In the slowed-down version, the humanoid is seen crouching and peering around the tree from a low position before standing up and walking away.
In this segment, the Sasquatch’s long arms and cupped hands are clearly visible. The creature has a uniform color, a distinctive rise-and-fall gait, a cone-shaped head, and a noticeable mid-tarsal break. Like other Sasquatch videos, it exhibits behaviors such as tree-hiding, peeking, and grabbing. Its compliant gait, characterized by bent legs, is unlike human movement. Before filming, Jim Holder reported hearing strange noises and claimed to have seen the creature’s dark, shadowy eyes.
17. Georgia Bigfoot in the Backyard

In October 2010, a YouTube video surfaced showing an encounter with a large humanoid. Researcher Chris Noel found the clip with only 34 views. Filmed by a 9-year-old boy in Georgia, the video captures the boy using an HD flip camera to record the figure in the woods. The HD quality allows for clear zooming, making this sighting notable. It was the second Sasquatch encounter on the property, and the footage provides valuable evidence to help verify other Bigfoot videos.
What to Look For
The video starts with a black-colored creature descending a hill on the far side of the family’s property. The humanoid is seen lifting its arm to grab a tree branch. Upon spotting the creature, the boy in the video shouts, “Hey Bigfoot,” prompting the figure to briefly disappear, peek around a tree, and then retreat uphill. Another notable detail is the family’s dog, heard barking loudly in the background, clearly agitated. The creature’s features align with the Sasquatch profile.
The figure has a uniform color, a cone-shaped head, gray cupped hands, a distinct inline step, and a compliant gait. No scale measurements have been taken on the property. The most striking part of the video is when the creature walks away. Similar to the Patterson-Gimlin footage, the Sasquatch has light gray pads on its feet, known as Ostman’s pads. These pads are among the strongest pieces of evidence for Bigfoot’s existence and appear in many top videos. The term originates from Albert Ostman’s 1956 Sasquatch description, a decade before the first Bigfoot footage was captured.
Thanks to the HD quality, the walking motion is one of the clearest ever recorded. The figure exhibits a knock-kneed inline step with a slight twist in the upstep, creating an up-and-down motion. This movement matches other Sasquatch footage. The mid-tarsal break is also visible, indicating the creature has a flat yet flexible foot. This flexibility allows the Sasquatch to lift its heel independently and grasp objects with its feet, a trait absent in humans, who are the only primates consistently lacking a mid-tarsal break.
16. Bigfoot Hunted by a Helicopter

On February 17, 2011, a video titled ‘Bigfoot hunted by helicopter’ was uploaded to YouTube. Filmed at an undisclosed location, the original post included a message: “My husband and I took our kids target shooting. A helicopter hovered above us the entire time, which we found annoying. Initially, we thought they were curious about what we were shooting. Later, upon reviewing the footage, we noticed something resembling Bigfoot running through the trees. We now believe the helicopter was pursuing Bigfoot.” This opens up an intriguing discussion about world governments potentially concealing Sasquatch evidence.
Delving into Bigfoot lore reveals accounts of helicopters and armed agents pressuring individuals to retract Sasquatch-related statements. Some of the most prominent conspiracy theories revolve around natural disasters, such as massive fires or volcanic eruptions. Historically, numerous Sasquatch sightings have been reported near Mount St. Helens in Washington, USA. On May 18, 1980, Mount St. Helens erupted catastrophically, marking the deadliest and most economically devastating volcanic event in U.S. history. The extensive cleanup, spanning years, included the removal of charred animal remains.
Conspiracy theorists have focused on a claim from an alleged cleanup worker who observed a pile of bodies guarded by armed personnel. The man reportedly saw animals being removed with a large net, with Sasquatch limbs clearly visible. Another detailed account involves a late 1990s Nevada fire, where firefighters allegedly rescued a severely burned Sasquatch and provided medical care. The creature was said to wander on all fours before surrendering when surrounded. It was then transported in a van and never seen again. The witness claims to have been debriefed and threatened by government officials.
What to Look For
The video features a boy learning to shoot a gun. He begins by firing a .22 caliber rifle twice before switching to a more powerful shotgun. Right after the shotgun blast, a black figure is seen running in the background. A helicopter is audible throughout, and its noise intensifies when the creature appears. The footage suggests the creature’s intelligence, as it remains still until startled by the shotgun. It seems the hominoid expected the .22 rifle’s sound but was startled by the louder shotgun explosion.
A frame-by-frame analysis reveals intriguing details. After the shotgun fires, the figure moves laterally with speed. Like other Bigfoot videos, the creature moves forward while peeking. It appears massive, with low-hanging arms, a cone-shaped head, and a uniform dark black color. Its gait is unusual, and it strategically positions itself to observe human activity. In the final frames, the humanoid transitions from a bipedal stance to moving on all fours.
This sequence is remarkable and aligns with other Bigfoot footage showing Sasquatch moving on all fours when startled. As the figure moves across the screen, a sprawling leap is observed, reminiscent of two famous Sasquatch videos: the 1996 Memorial Day footage from Washington State and a clip titled Bigfoot in the Backyard by a Stream. The backyard video, a 36-second clip of a juvenile Sasquatch running, showcases extraordinary athleticism. In my view, it ranks among the top ten Bigfoot videos but isn’t included here due to its unavailability on platforms like YouTube.
15. New York Juvenile Sasquatch

One of the most famous Bigfoot videos was filmed by Robert Pridgen at Lembo Lake Campground in New York. During a 1996 festival at the lake, a group filming around a campfire captured strange activity in the trees. The footage, discovered six years later, shows a larger figure lifting a smaller creature into a tree. The larger figure appears for 14 seconds, while the juvenile is visible for 44 seconds. The video includes a detailed analysis and a stabilized version of the event.
What to Look For
The video begins with a juvenile creature being hoisted into a tree by a larger figure. The smaller Sasquatch is seen swinging and performing impressive maneuvers on the branches. Research confirms the juvenile is about five feet tall, with notably long arms. No pets are allowed at the campground, making the figure’s presence unusual. The creature’s athleticism is striking, and while many young Bigfoot sightings involve trees, this New York footage was the only recorded instance until a 2010 incident in Ontario, Canada. The clip stands out because the activity defies easy explanation.
14. Great North Figure

The Great North, a 2001 documentary filmed in IMAX, pays homage to Robert Flaherty’s iconic film, Nanook of the North, which chronicles the lives of the Inuit people in the Arctic. In Great North, Nanook’s grandson narrates, guiding viewers through the stunning Canadian wilderness and its snow-covered landscapes. The film explores Inuit traditions like fishing and hunting, offering a glimpse into their enduring way of life.
Filmed near Inukjuak on Hudson Bay in northern Quebec and Ontario, Great North gained attention for a brief clip at 9 minutes and 18 seconds showing an unidentified animal. The creature, solid black with a gorilla-like gait, is seen running alongside a herd of caribou up a steep hill. Notably, gorillas and chimpanzees are not native to Ontario, where the footage was captured. The advanced IMAX camera used provides exceptional size and resolution, far surpassing conventional film systems.
What to Look For
The included video features a zoomed-in version of the sequence, as the original was shot from a distance. Despite the creature’s small size in the original, the camera’s capabilities allow for clear enlargement. The scene depicts a caribou migration, with a black figure emerging from a hidden ditch near a stream. The creature runs parallel to the caribou briefly before ducking out of sight. It then makes a sharp 90-degree turn to the left and ascends the hill.
Similar to other Bigfoot videos, there are claims that the original footage has been withheld from public release. The IMAX camera’s ability to enlarge digital images with exceptional clarity could produce highly detailed and precise pictures of the creature. These images could then be shared widely. However, such evidence has not been made public, possibly due to its controversial nature. Some websites suggest the figure is a film crew member wearing a backpack, positioned to guide caribou herds. When sunlight hits the figure, its profile becomes more distinct. As it disappears from view, the creature appears to touch its head. The video remains debated and might depict a Sasquatch hunting in the northern wilderness.
13. Memorial Day Footage

What to Look For
The video begins with the camera focusing on a humanoid figure sprinting across a wooded area. The creature moves rapidly and executes a significant leap as it crosses the hill. A still frame from the sequence reveals a figure with a cone-shaped head, arms extending to the knees, a brow ridge, gray hands, and a uniform black color. During the leap, the creature’s back leg appears to hyperextend, consistent with a mid-tarsal break, suggesting it can grasp objects with its feet.
The humanoid exhibits a compliant gait, characterized by an unusual walking motion. This gait is evident when the creature’s front leg bends during a step, unlike humans, who walk or run with straight legs. The figure moves with an up-and-down motion and swings its arms vigorously. In the footage, the humanoid briefly disappears behind a hill before reappearing on the opposite side and walking into the forest. At this point, the creature seems to grow significantly in size as it enters the woods. The enlarged video reveals many details of this final sequence.
As the hominoid emerges from behind the hill, a small object, likely a child, is visible on its back. A frame-by-frame analysis reveals the baby crawling up the larger creature’s back and standing on its shoulders, making the Bigfoot appear taller. This detail explains why the Sasquatch ventured into open daylight, risking exposure. A common theme in Bigfoot videos is the presence of a baby or family member. The figure in the Memorial Day footage is estimated to be 5.3 feet tall.
12. The Florida Sasquatch

Myakka City, an unincorporated community in southeastern Manatee County, Florida, is the setting for a 2008 video showing a large humanoid creature. Posted on YouTube as ‘Three clips of Sasquatch,’ the footage captures different segments of a Bigfoot encounter. While similar to other Sasquatch videos, the lack of a full-body image and the fragmented nature of the clips raise questions about their authenticity.
What to Look For
The video starts with a figure seated behind a large tree, clearly aware of human presence and preparing to flee. The first clip shows the creature standing up explosively without using its hands. A frame-by-frame analysis provides clear details of its palm and facial profile. The second clip depicts the Bigfoot walking away slowly. While the shaky camera raises suspicions, the footage aligns with the Sasquatch profile in multiple ways.
The creature exhibits classic Bigfoot behavior, walking with its palms facing backward and toes pointed downward. It has a massive stride, a cone-shaped head, and arms that make up 60% of its body length. Its hands are notably long, flexible, and cupped, consistent with other Sasquatch footage. The figure displays finger movement, white palms, and a distinct hair ridge along its back. At one point, sunlight reveals the creature’s hair transitioning from black to brown. The third clip captures the Bigfoot peeking around a tree before walking away, a behavior commonly associated with Sasquatch encounters.
11. Crimean Yeti

Crimea, an autonomous republic of Ukraine on the Black Sea’s northern coast, has a rich history of Sasquatch folklore and modern sightings. On March 18, 2011, a video uploaded to YouTube by user SDNikitin shows a humanoid creature walking in Crimea’s woods. The uploader included a description stating that a friend, while picnicking in the woods, witnessed the creature. Initially, the friend thought alcohol might have caused the sighting but later reviewed the footage, confirming the encounter.
What to Look For
The video begins with the creature observing from a concealed position uphill, behind a cluster of trees. Like other Sasquatch footage, the Bigfoot stays low to the ground, maintaining stealth. As the camera focuses on it, the creature stands and begins to walk away. Although the footage is shaky, stabilization reveals the Yeti’s profile. The humanoid has uniform auburn hair, high shoulders, a cone-shaped head, a gray face, long arms, cupped hands, white palms, and a compliant gait with bent-leg movement.
As the Sasquatch moves across the screen, it reaches up to grab a tree, a behavior some believe helps it navigate the forest. The footage reveals that the individuals filming were visibly shaken by the encounter. Their dialogue suggests they left the area immediately after the sighting. One of the most striking moments in the video is when the creature’s massive backstep becomes visible, showcasing a walking motion that is highly unique and reminiscent of other Bigfoot sightings.
10. Ketchikan Bigfoot

My heart was racing! The creature was about 40 yards from the road. I’m unsure if it noticed me due to the noise of the flowing stream. It moved incredibly fast, sending chills down my spine! At one point, you can see a whitish-yellow object in its hand, likely skunk cabbage, which was in bloom. The creature jumps and then seems to vanish into the dense brush and trees. It was both terrifying and thrilling! We searched for tracks but found none. If Bigfoot, Sasquatch, or Kushtaka exists, I swear I saw it!
What to Look For
The video begins with a large humanoid figure walking through the woods. Initially, the view is unclear, but a cone-shaped head is noticeable at full speed. At 24 seconds, the creature becomes fully visible, holding something white in its hand. Its walking motion is unusual, with raised hands, making its long arms less apparent. The figure has a uniform color and matted hair. The highlight of the footage is when the creature enters a densely brushed area, disappears for about five seconds, squats, peeks at the camera, and then leaps down an embankment—a truly remarkable moment.
No scale measurements of the scene have been taken, but the data is crucial. After the leap, the creature disappears from view, but YouTube comments point to a pair of eyes visible for a second at 1:02 in the footage. This image might be the strongest evidence without detailed motion analysis. The figure is centered near the bottom of the screen, with massive eyes and a cone-shaped head clearly visible. It’s striking how close to the ground the creature appears. This aligns with other Sasquatch footage showing large eyes. Some suggest the video features two separate Sasquatch—one at the start and another performing the leap.
9. Baby Bigfoot in Craw of Tree

William Evans, a Sasquatch researcher, has been trying to film a Bigfoot family. In 2007, while working in northern California, Evans developed a technique called dowsing, where the camera is held at the hip, believing the creatures are wary of handheld cameras. The baby Bigfoot video was shot using this method. The short clip allegedly shows a baby Sasquatch hiding in a tree’s hollow, with claims of two other Bigfoot present in the footage.
What to Look For
The video starts with William Evans approaching a tree after spotting a Bigfoot. While the creature isn’t visible, it’s said to be near the tree. Evans then notices a baby figure in the tree’s hollow and zooms in. Proportionally, it’s quite large. Initially, the creature is hard to identify, but pausing at 1:12 reveals a clear view of the baby’s face, mouth open, with a stick partially covering its right eye. The clip is brief, as Evans reportedly felt threatened during filming.
William Evans filmed the footage using a method where he navigates dense forests until sensing an unusual presence, then scans the area with a hip-mounted camera. The video is considered the closest and clearest public footage of a Sasquatch face. The baby Sasquatch displays a brow ridge, a human-like nose, gray knuckles, and eyes without whites. Similar to other Sasquatch videos, it has a small cone-shaped head and gray facial skin. The creature’s eyes and mouth are seen moving in the clip. Evans claims two other creatures were present, with a Bigfoot-like figure possibly visible in a nearby tree.
8. Sasquatch Swinging in a Tree

In July 2010, two Bigfoot researchers were filming in southwest Ontario, Canada. While recording the forest, they initially noticed nothing unusual. However, upon reviewing the footage, they spotted figures swinging rapidly in the trees. At full speed, the objects are hard to identify, but the high-quality camera allows for detailed enhancement. The clip shows two adult Sasquatch performing extraordinary movements.
What to Look For
To fully understand the video, it must be viewed at an enhanced size. The clip features a large bipedal creature high in the trees. A frame-by-frame analysis reveals the figure with four massive limbs. It swings across an open area, then walks briefly on tiptoe. Researchers suggest the Bigfoot grabs a baby Sasquatch before swinging. The creature then leaps to another tree, flipping upside down to a branch, and appears to hold another figure. The athleticism displayed is remarkable, offering insights into Sasquatch behavior.
The observed Bigfoot has uniform auburn hair, arms making up 60% of its body length, and an impressive size. The video draws parallels to the 1997 New York juvenile Sasquatch footage, where a figure performs unusual tree maneuvers. This suggests Bigfoot is adept in trees, possibly using them as hiding spots. The tiptoe movement in the footage highlights extreme stealth. The clip is notable for showing multiple creatures. While the baby Bigfoot is hard to spot, another Sasquatch becomes visible to the left when the first jumps. Both creatures seem to react to the same stimulus, possibly protecting a child or juvenile nearby.
7. Freeman Film

In 1994, Paul Freeman filmed an unidentified hominoid in Washington state. The footage shows a large Bigfoot walking past the camera, glancing at Freeman, and then vanishing into the forest. Later, a second Sasquatch briefly peeks from behind a tree, seemingly holding a baby. The film, captured with a low-quality camera, is blurry by modern standards. The creature’s size is immense, resembling the figure in the Patterson-Gimlin film.
What to Look For
The video begins with Freeman struggling to control the camera while investigating an unusual noise. He mentions hearing brush breaking before the figure appears. The Sasquatch takes a few large steps, pauses, and looks toward the camera. It then turns downhill, disappearing into the brush. The creature squats behind a tree for four seconds, peeks around, and continues walking away.
Later in the footage, another creature appears, seemingly holding a baby. The figure aligns with many Sasquatch characteristics, including a uniform color, long arms, and a cone-shaped head. The creature pauses mid-step, displaying an unusual gait, and holds its hands back for balance while walking slowly. It exhibits tree-hiding and peeking behavior, quickly squatting and concealing itself. Similar to other Bigfoot encounters, a Sasquatch family is present at the scene. [More info]
6. Prince Edward Island Video

Prince Edward Island, a Canadian province in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, is the 104th largest island globally. In 2005, student Nathan Wiley and friends were filming a school project in the island’s forest. While capturing a scene of someone running from the woods, a large apelike creature emerged from the opposite side, sprinting across the screen at high speed. It’s important to note that the person in the video wasn’t fleeing the Bigfoot but filming a scene.
What to Look For
The video’s context is debated, as it was filmed for a student project in an area with few prior Bigfoot sightings. However, the footage aligns with the Sasquatch profile in many ways. Like the Patterson-Gimlin film, the Wiley clip would be hard to replicate. The creature runs at an estimated 25-30 mph, starting with a quadrupedal stride before rising to a bipedal stance. As seen in other Sasquatch videos, large Bigfoot often run on all fours when startled. The clip suggests the Sasquatch was observing the humans and was startled when one of the kids began running.
Another theory suggests the Sasquatch was running toward the area the boy had left, possibly to protect a child or family member in that part of the forest. The creature in the video has a uniform black color, a 62% arm-to-body ratio, a cone-shaped head, gray facial skin, and remarkable size and agility. The most crucial frame is the last one, showing the creature rising to a bipedal stance. This action is nearly impossible to see without stabilization and zoom. If the clip were a hoax, this part would be the most challenging to fake, especially since the creature’s measurements can be calculated. The Sasquatch appears to be around ten feet tall with massive shoulders.
5. Marble Mountain Sasquatch

The Marble Mountains, a sub-range of the Klamath Mountains in northwestern California, are home to Boulder Peak, the highest point at 8,299 feet (2,530 m). Protected by the Marble Mountain Wilderness Area, the 242,500-acre (981 km²) park features dense forests, 89 trout-stocked lakes, and a thriving ecosystem with bears and deer. In July 2000, a group of fifteen hikers, including children with disabilities, ventured into the Marble Mountains near Fort Jones, California. They carried a video camera and discovered strange forest structures, such as a den made of large branches and twigs. Minutes into their exploration, a teenage boy spotted a Bigfoot on a ridge over 750 yards away.
What to Look For
The Bigfoot is filmed for 3 minutes and 44 seconds as it descends the mountain ridge. To see the creature clearly, the video must be stabilized and enlarged, as shown in the clip. Analysis reveals the creature’s movements are distinctly non-human, with disproportionately large body proportions and abnormal limb motions. The footage aligns with nearly every morphological detail of a Sasquatch. Tree measurements suggest the Bigfoot is over 8 feet (2.4 m) tall. The creature’s inline step is evident as it moves effortlessly with large strides.
The Bigfoot’s size was estimated by analyzing its path and the surrounding trees and branches. The most compelling part of the video is when the Sasquatch realizes humans have intruded into its territory. The creature reacts by jumping, screaming, pushing trees, and visibly panicking. At this point, key measurements can be taken, revealing a 60% arm-to-body ratio. The creature exhibits signs of frustration and despair. Upon closer examination, a cone-shaped head is visible, and a distinct rise-and-fall walking motion is evident, consistent with other Sasquatch footage. Although filmed from a distance, technology has enabled the identification of numerous non-human traits in the Marble Mountain Bigfoot.
4. Tatra Mountain Yeti

The Tatra Mountains, forming a natural border between Slovakia and Poland, are the highest range in the Carpathians. In summer 2009, rock climber Piotr Kowalski filmed an unidentified humanoid creature in the Tatras. Piotr described the encounter: “I saw a huge ape-like figure hiding behind rocks. It felt like being struck by lightning.” The footage is startling and aligns with Sasquatch characteristics on multiple levels.
The clip in this article shows the original footage without analysis. A version with a full analysis is available through this link. The footage reportedly includes images of an entire Sasquatch family. Like other Bigfoot videos, the clip is shaky and often moves away from the best angles. However, the actions depicted are consistent with Sasquatch behavior, and the video contains unexplained, bizarre events.
What to Look For
In the footage, unless you watch the analyzed version, it’s unclear that Kowalski initially pans the camera toward a large rock showing head movement. As the camera moves uphill, a second creature becomes visible, descending the slope. Upon closer inspection, the humanoid has a uniform color, a cone-shaped head, and exceptionally long arms. It exhibits fully functional hands, thumbs, elbows, and arm movements. After descending, the camera captures the creature bending over, preparing to move. The clip resembles other Sasquatch videos, particularly the figure in the Great North documentary, which also has a large, sloped back.
The Yeti is seen taking a massive step and walking behind a rock. The mid-tarsal break and rise-and-fall motion are clearly visible. The figure has cupped hands, a brow ridge, and bulging muscles. The analyzed video suggests a third Sasquatch might be present, though hard to spot. Once noticed, its position is strikingly unusual. The creature appears near the feet of the main Sasquatch, with auburn coloring. Positioned low on the rocks, it might explain why the family was caught in the open.
3. Patterson-Gimlin Film

The most iconic Bigfoot footage is the Patterson-Gimlin film, captured by Roger Patterson and Robert Gimlin on October 20, 1967. While investigating Sasquatch reports near Bluff Creek, California, the men, on horseback, encountered an overturned tree. As they rounded it, they saw a large figure by the creek. Patterson’s horse reared, and after freeing himself, he spent about twenty seconds retrieving the camera from his saddlebag. By the time filming began, Patterson was 120 feet (37 m) away from the creature.
What to Look For
Roger Patterson chased the Bigfoot with his 16mm camera, stopping about 80 feet (24 m) away to film the most iconic part of the footage. The Sasquatch glances over its right shoulder at Patterson, who then drops to his knees. The creature looks back at the men twice before walking behind a grove of trees, briefly reappearing, and then disappearing. Extensive research suggests the video depicts a mature female Sasquatch, approximately 7’4″ tall and weighing 700 lbs. The creature matches descriptions from other Bigfoot witnesses.
The Patterson-Gimlin film aligns with the Bigfoot profile in nearly every aspect. Key features include Ostman’s pads (light-colored foot pads), long arms, a cone-shaped head, a hair ridge along the spine, a slow walking pace, and a prominent brow ridge. Like other videos, it shows tree-hiding behavior and cupped gray hands. The Bigfoot has a hooded nose, an inline step, and white coloring on its hands and feet. The film remains highly controversial, with many scientists dismissing it as a hoax. This article includes two versions: the original footage, showing Patterson’s distance from the creature, and a stabilized, zoomed version available here.
2. Utah Sasquatch Family

The Utah Sasquatch family video, uploaded to YouTube by a user named Johnny, is titled ‘Bigfoot family sighting in Utah on January 3, 2011.’ The description reads: “I took my kids and their friends hiking and sledding in the Utah Mountains. Weeks later, while reviewing the footage, I noticed three separate instances of unexplained creatures resembling a Sasquatch family. The first clip shows a Bigfoot walking into the trees, the second captures another watching us before vanishing, and the third appears to show a Bigfoot struggling to escape. We returned to search for prints, but the snow had melted.” The video features a man filming kids sledding, with three distinct creatures visible in the background.
What to Look For
To fully understand the video, you must watch the zoomed-in analysis of the footage. The video was posted in three separate clips because the filmmaker turned the camera on and off, leading some to dismiss it as a hoax. The first clip shows a humanoid figure hiding behind a bush, which then stands and walks away. Its rise-and-fall motion is unusual but aligns with other Sasquatch videos. However, the figure’s left arm remains motionless, prompting researchers to suggest hemiplegia—a condition causing paralysis on one side of the body. While I find the idea of a Sasquatch family plausible, the notion of hemiplegic twins seems far-fetched.
After the first Bigfoot leaves, a second creature emerges from a bush on the far right of the screen, unnoticed in Johnny’s original description. The second clip begins with a large Sasquatch standing motionless, possibly mimicking a tree after being caught in the open. The filmmaker pans away to film a child sledding, and when the camera returns, the creature is gone. This raises suspicions, as it could be easily faked and implies the creature understands how cameras work. However, the final clip compensates for these doubts.
The third clip captures a Sasquatch fleeing the scene. Its arm and leg movements are distinctly non-human. Johnny’s description suggests the figure might be injured, but its motion aligns with other Bigfoot videos. When a large, non-juvenile Sasquatch feels threatened, it often runs on all fours, as seen here. The creature moves swiftly, limbs swaying rhythmically. The enhanced clip evokes strong emotions and aligns with the Bigfoot profile, featuring a cone-shaped head, uniform color, long arms, strategic movement, tree-hiding behavior, and an apparent interest in children and loud noises.
1. Woodpile Thermal Video

The east Texas woodpile thermal video may be the most compelling evidence of Sasquatch’s existence. Christopher Noel, a professional intrigued by Bigfoot sightings on an east Texas property, visited the area in 2008. After a series of encounters, he built a bonfire to attract the creature, as previous videos suggest Bigfoot is drawn to large fires and loud activity. Using an infrared camera, Noel scanned the surrounding woods. Infrared cameras capture heat signatures from living organisms, making the creature visible through color imaging.
What to Look For
While scanning the area, Christopher Noel noticed a large object in a woodpile near the fire. He later explained that it took him several viewings to spot the arm because it remained motionless. The video captures the Sasquatch for several seconds, revealing its massive size. Detailed analysis of the footage revealed that a large Bigfoot had crept up a wooded ravine and observed Noel and others from a hidden position. Initially, only the arm was visible, but further study uncovered the creature’s head, eyes, and face.
In the video, the creature’s left arm is extended around a tree, with its head positioned below the arm, peering through a gap in the woodpile. The hand is clearly visible, and the infrared image shows the eyes as the second brightest objects on the screen. The eyes are located down and to the left of the arm. To see the eyeballs clearly, pause the clip at 15 seconds. The forehead appears less bright. At one point, the creature’s hand is seen gripping a large board. The boards in the footage remain at the scene, allowing for precise measurements of the creature’s body.
The study’s findings are remarkable, revealing eyes four inches in diameter—the size of a baseball. The Sasquatch has a 12-inch hand, a 5-inch thumb, and 5 inches between its eye sockets. Notably, the creature is well-hidden at night, suggesting it believes it can be seen in the dark. While observing the fire, the Sasquatch moves its hands subtly, maintaining stealth. The use of forward-looking infrared video sets this footage apart, as it appears to capture a living, enormous creature, even compared to other Sasquatch encounters.
+ Greenbrier Bigfoot Photograph

In 2010, a video surfaced on YouTube discussing an unusual photograph taken near Greenbrier Sporting Club in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The image was captured by one of the club’s trail cameras used to monitor local wildlife. The figure closely resembles the creature from the Patterson-Gimlin film, though many have argued the photo was digitally altered using Photoshop. Notable Sasquatch videos not included in this article are the Blinking Eye Bigfoot filmed by Tim Fasano in 2010, the Peguis Sasquatch near Winnipeg, the Mike Greene thermal footage from North Carolina, the Bigfoot leaping over a stream, the Sobe bomb Bigfoot in Oklahoma, the Beast of Gum Hill, and the nine-step Sasquatch footage. Some clips were excluded due to their unavailability online.
