The founder of Segrada Studio (and former Mytour Home team member!) also highlights that an induction cooktop remains useful even when not in use. Its flat design allows it to "serve as extra counter space, replacing the 42 inches typically occupied by a traditional stove," she explains.
Deluxe Wine Fridges
Why venture out for wine when you can enjoy it at home? Becky Shea, the creative force behind Becky Shea Design, is increasingly integrating wine fridges with built-in freezer and fridge compartments into modern homes.
"These units aren’t limited to kitchens—they’re also making waves in bars, dens, and home lounges," she notes. "With the growing trend of home entertainment, these wine fridges have become a must-have feature that resonates with many homeowners."
Voice-Activated Appliances
Fans of Alexa will be thrilled by the rise of voice-activated appliances, which function much like the beloved Amazon device. "These appliances are a game-changer for busy home cooks who often have their hands full," explains Linette Dai, the creative mind behind Linette Dai Design. "They also provide an added layer of accessibility for individuals with mobility challenges."

Artificial intelligence is set to revolutionize appliance functionality. "Leading brands such as GE, Miele, and Samsung are at the forefront, introducing innovations like Smart Food ID systems. These systems use built-in cameras and AI to recognize dishes and recommend the best cooking settings," says Vyanca Soto, founder of Market Studio Interiors. "It’s fascinating to see how AI is reshaping our homes, creating smarter, more personalized systems that enhance everyday living."

Upcoming appliance trends for next year include smartphone connectivity, UV sanitization, and eco-friendly features. "A standout for me is Miele's AutoDos dishwasher, which intelligently adjusts water usage based on the number of dishes loaded," shares designer Ania Agárdy.

"For homeowners looking to avoid the dominance of stainless steel, many brands are now offering appliances in sophisticated black finishes," notes Dai. She also mentions that beige and cream-colored appliances are gaining traction and will become more prevalent.
Colorful ranges are set to make a splash next year, according to Tiffany Matthews, founder of Motif Homes. "As the centerpiece of the kitchen, the range should stand out and make a statement," she emphasizes.
