Whether you're mounting your action camera on a car, your body, or a drone, you’ll need one that’s tough enough to endure but also delivers excellent photos and videos. Last week, we asked for your top picks and reviewed the five best action cameras. Now, we reveal your top favorite.
As expected, the GoPro Hero 4 Black claimed the top spot in the poll with a commanding 63% of the vote. GoPro has long been a leader in this space, so it’s no surprise that it garnered so much support. Its solid reputation, accessory options, and broad compatibility make it a reliable choice.
In second place was the SJCAM SJ4000 Action Camera, often considered a GoPro clone but still compatible with many of the same accessories, offering the same ruggedness and ease of use—at a fraction of the cost. It secured 15% of the total vote. Tying for third with 7.3% each and 87 votes apiece were the Sony 4K Action Camera and the Sony HDR-AS100V, both earning praise for their durability and budget-friendly pricing. Bringing up the rear with just under 7% was the compact, versatile Mobius ActionCam, small enough to fit on a dashboard or serve as a motion-sensing security camera.
