Natalie Rebuck, the principal designer at Re: Design Architects in Brooklyn and Southold, New York, shared with HuffPost that she loves the combination of fluffy pillows and crisp sheets for creating an inviting bed. “The more pillows, the better!” she said. “You can’t have a cozy bed without at least three pillows per person.” She also highlighted the importance of finding durable pillows worth the investment. Rebuck further emphasized the need for a quilted duvet to avoid the fluff from settling unevenly, noting that after a stay in a 5-star hotel, she now prefers having individual duvets for each person. “My husband and I each had one, and it was brilliant; I’ll be doing this next time I’m buying bedding,” she added.
