We’re excited to unveil the redesigned Mytour.com! After months of dedication from our design and editorial teams, the new site is now live.
While we’ve done our best to smooth out any issues during the transition, there may still be a few bugs. Please use this post to report any findings so we can address them promptly.
We’ve worked diligently to preserve Mytour’s familiar format while bringing older, relevant content to the forefront through editor’s picks on the homepage. The commenting system remains unchanged, and all registered users are still active.
The redesign prioritized speed and aesthetics. You should notice a significant improvement in performance. Additionally, we’ve enhanced our email subscriptions—now more visually appealing and offering daily or weekly updates.
This marks the first phase of a three-part rollout. The initial stage focuses on the new design, allowing users to adapt and helping us address any bugs. Phase two will introduce backend updates to better manage popular content and editor’s picks, enabling us to highlight trending topics based on current site activity.
Phase three is the most thrilling, as it will introduce groundbreaking new features for the first time. While I can’t reveal too much, I can share that these changes will focus on enhancing list-based content and won’t stray into unrelated functionalities. We aim to build on our strengths rather than branching into new areas.
While a mobile app has been frequently requested, we believe the mobile site included in this phase one release will meet most users’ needs. That said, we remain open to exploring mobile apps in the future. Based on user feedback, we’ll reassess the necessity and revisit our options accordingly.
We’d love to hear your thoughts—please take a moment to share your feedback!
UPDATES
The following issues have been resolved.
1. The navigation menu closes more quickly when the mouse is moved away. 2. “More Great Lists” now exclusively displays lists from the same subcategory, not the parent category. 3. “More Great Lists” no longer overlaps or blocks sections of the comments.
