Many of you might already know that we're rolling out a complete website redesign this year. The primary goals are to boost speed, ensure stability, and enhance usability. Alongside this, we're planning a visual refresh. One major change we're considering is replacing Disqus with our original Mytour commenting system. While this may require some users to create new accounts, we believe the benefits will outweigh the inconvenience.
The new commenting system opens up opportunities for social features, such as following your favorite commenters or authors, creating personalized Mytour profile pages, and more. Would these features appeal to you?
Your feedback is crucial to help us prioritize improvements and explore new features. Would you appreciate a daily news digest? Should we bring back competitions? Are book reviews or YouTube videos something you'd like to see more—or less—of? Share your thoughts, no matter how unconventional, in the comments below.
This is also your chance to request more lists in specific categories or suggest entirely new ones. Are you interested in more unsolved mysteries, animal-related content, crime stories, or historical topics? Or do you feel we're overloading certain categories? Let us know!
Additionally, while I have your attention, I’ve spent the past few days removing ads from the site and optimizing the backend code. According to Google Analytics, this has significantly improved page load times, though it’s still not where I want it to be (hence the upcoming redesign). These changes should also resolve some of the bugs users have reported. If you’re still encountering any issues, please let me know here.
To summarize, here are the key questions I’d love to hear your thoughts on:
1. What new feature would you most like us to introduce? 2. Which list categories would you like to see more or less of? 3. What would encourage you to share lists with your social media networks? 4. Are three lists per day sufficient, or would you prefer more? 5. Would you like to see enhanced social features on the site?
Your feedback will be shared with our redesign team. To help us gauge overall opinions, please upvote comments you agree with.
Now, share your thoughts openly and honestly!
