Although it is already 2025, some 2023 Subaru Outback models remain unsold. To clear out inventory, Motor Image Vietnam (MIV), the official distributor of Subaru vehicles in Vietnam, has introduced a special price of 1.696 billion VND in January 2025, offering a 403 million VND reduction from the original listing price of 2.099 billion VND. However, this isn't the final price for those looking to purchase a 2023 Subaru Outback, as some dealers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City are offering the vehicle for just 1.599 billion VND, a discount of up to 500 million VND.
The Outback has always been a niche product in Vietnam, often receiving promotions both from the manufacturer and dealerships. However, the 500 million VND discount offered in the first month of 2025 marks the most significant price cut ever seen.

The Subaru Outback currently available in the Vietnamese automobile market is the mid-cycle facelift model, updated in April 2023. Since then, the vehicle has not undergone any additional upgrades or equipment changes. Therefore, the 2023 Outback is essentially the same as the 2024 and 2025 models in terms of design and engine specifications.
The vehicle's dimensions are 4,870 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,745 mm. Key features of the Outback include automatic LED headlights, LED taillights, a roof rack, large underbody plastic cladding for off-road capability, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, an 11-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with a subwoofer and 8-channel amplifier, and USB-C connectivity.
The 2023 Subaru Outback is powered by a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that produces 166 horsepower and 252 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a CVT transmission. The vehicle also features an improved X-Mode with Auto Restore functionality, which switches to a 'standby' mode when the car is traveling above 40 km/h and reactivates when the speed drops below 35 km/h.
The safety technology on the 2023 Subaru Outback is highly praised, with the EyeSight 4.0 suite, which includes advanced features such as blind-spot monitoring, automatic braking assistance (both forward and reverse), lane-keeping assist (with lane centering), and adaptive cruise control.
