When it comes to classic tailgate snacks, chili is a staple, just like jalapeño poppers and buffalo chicken dip. This football season, Bush’s Beans is searching for a ‘Chili Commissioner’ to help celebrate the tradition.
A genuine love for chili—both making and eating—is essential. The Chili Commissioner will not only assist in creating an official tailgate chili recipe for Bush’s Beans but will also face off in a chili cook-off against actor Brian Baumgartner. Fans of The Office will recognize Baumgartner’s character, Kevin Malone, as a chili expert, and Baumgartner himself is a talented chef in his own right.
The chili showdown, which will be judged by a former World Championship Chili Cook-Off winner, will take place just before the SEC Championship in Atlanta at Bush’s Beans’ tailgate. The winner will co-host the event with Baumgartner. The football game is scheduled for December 3, and the company will cover expenses for a two-night trip (with a guest included).
The Chili Commissioner won’t just get a free vacation and a chance to show off their chili skills. They’ll also receive a one-time $20,000 paycheck and a full year’s supply of Bush’s Chili Beans. Interested? Make sure to apply by November 8. The application asks for some personal details, along with your favorite chili recipe, your go-to tailgate hype strategies, and a 15-second video explaining why you'd be the perfect Chili Commissioner.
