At McDonald’s, consistency is key—whether you’re in New York, London, or Moscow, a Big Mac tastes just like a Big Mac. However, after years of seeing competitors like In-N-Out thrive with secret menu items and creative hacks, McDonald’s is finally jumping on the bandwagon with its own unique offerings.
As reported by CNN, McDonald’s is officially rolling out four fan-inspired menu customizations that gained popularity on platforms like TikTok. These include the Hash Brown McMuffin, featuring potato patties as an extra layer; the Crunchy Double, which tops a cheeseburger with Chicken McNuggets; the Land, Air, and Sea, combining chicken, a Big Mac, and a Filet-o-Fish; and the Surf and Turf, merging a double cheeseburger with fish. Note that the Surf and Turf is exclusively available through the McDonald’s app or McDelivery.
However, there’s a catch that might disappoint some customers. These menu hacks come as separate ingredients, leaving the assembly entirely up to you. For those who rely on McDonald’s for quick, on-the-go meals, this DIY approach could be a bit inconvenient—and potentially messy.
TikTok stars such as Sarah Sandlin and Greg Simms are set to appear in TV ads to promote the campaign, which kicks off on January 31 and will run for a limited period only.
