1. We Will Go to the Ends of the Earth
There are moments in life when we all need some quiet reflection, a chance to pause and assess the journey we're on, and to ask ourselves whether that path leads us to the ends of the earth, to the farthest reaches of our dreams.
Nguyễn Phong Việt's poetry is not just beautiful in its words, but it carries deep reflections on life and the struggles that everyone has at some point faced. It creates a sense of empathy, offering comfort in a world full of loneliness, where we often don't know where to turn to share our emotions.
In his latest collection, 'We Will Go to the Ends of the Earth,' each reader will find peace and a moment of introspection through his simple yet profound verses. Life is a journey, and along the way, we encounter stopping points, moments when people cross our paths. Some stop to rest, while others pass by, leaving us in confusion and sorrow. We are all pilgrims in each other's lives, unsure of our destination but constantly moving forward. This journey holds moments of solitude, separation, and painful defeat, all of which require us to find a quiet place to regain strength and continue onward.
'At times, we will stand like flowers in full bloom, embracing peace…'
This winter, join Nguyễn Phong Việt in 'We Will Go to the Ends of the Earth,' to cleanse the soul after hardship and to understand life’s true meaning through its simplest moments. Or perhaps to realize that, despite life's storms, we find strength and optimism as we walk through the challenges ahead.
'Sometimes, allow yourself to smile when you see a wound healing!'

Are We Truly Happy?4. Where Do the Wounds Go?
The title of this poetry collection, 'Where Do the Wounds Go?' prompts the reader to reflect on a deeply personal question: Where do the emotional wounds of our youth and experiences go? Have they been forgotten, or do they quietly linger in a corner, no longer speaking out? Do these wounds help us grow or gradually harden us? Through 60 of his latest poems, Nguyễn Phong Việt maintains the same poetic style that has characterized his work from the beginning, but this time, he conveys the most positive and uplifting emotions. Regardless of how we were in the past or how hopeless our wounds might seem, we must continue living and living well for ourselves. When we treat our hearts fairly, true love will eventually find its way to us. This is always how it works...
'Where Do the Wounds Go?' is not just Nguyễn Phong Việt's fifth poetry book; it is also a heartfelt gift for the readers who have supported his work over the last five years.
Phong Việt shares:
"Releasing one poetry book every year, as I promised, certainly comes with pressure. Writing is just one of the things I do; I'm not a full-time writer, and I can't write every day. But above all, it brings me great joy, especially when I see readers eagerly awaiting my books and choosing them as gifts for themselves or loved ones each Christmas. Knowing this, any pressure or fatigue I feel while writing becomes insignificant..."
This is his fifth book, and readers are undoubtedly curious about what new elements Nguyễn Phong Việt brings compared to his previous collections. He confidently asserts that his writing style remains the same, but the stories and emotions in this latest book are entirely new experiences, ones he had never encountered before until he began writing 'Where Do the Wounds Go?' He feels confident in the inspiration he’s drawing from and the words he’s crafting.
Where Do the Wounds Go?
Where Do the Wounds Go?5. Believe in Your Uniqueness
As a yearly tradition, poet Nguyễn Phong Việt unveils a collection of poems reflecting on love and life. With 60 pieces, this collection offers a message for every grown individual: no matter how many challenges and heartaches life throws at us, the strength and instinct within us are limitless. Only then do we learn how to heal our wounds, rise after each fall, and heal our hearts after the love we thought would end happily-ever-after fades.
Nguyễn Phong Việt confessed that his previous collection, 'Passing Through Nostalgia,' left the deepest mark on his heart. So, what makes his seventh collection, 'Believe in Your Uniqueness,' stand out, causing him to take a deep breath upon completing its final lines? Is there something heavier in this new collection?
"For me, 'Believe in Your Uniqueness' was an opportunity to deeply explore my own soul, break it down, and teach it to rise again after many setbacks. Writing these poems has allowed me to grow as well. That’s why I believe this collection will offer readers new faith and help them embrace self-compassion. Here, the love is self-love—choosing yourself as the pillar to face life's challenges. If we are unique, why not live for ourselves and kindle hope for ourselves?" shared Nguyễn Phong Việt.
'Believe in Your Uniqueness' will be a new form of resilience—stronger than ever—that Nguyễn Phong Việt offers to readers who have grown alongside him through seven Christmas seasons. It will answer those moments when our hearts feel heavy: "Solitude in life can sometimes bring peace, leaving nothing left to fear."

'Passing Through Nostalgia' offers straightforward yet profound poetry that captures empathy, understanding, and emotional resonance. It provides an opportunity for readers to reflect on life’s emotional highs and lows, as well as the moments of tenderness and growth.
"Love never hurts,
it’s just a matter of choosing whom to love more than ourselves..."

no expectations for others to bring us happiness, but we learn to wish for peace every day..."
So many lines where readers can find their own truth and solace, discovering the healing power of poetry. At some point, everyone will find their way to peace, closing the chapter on turbulent times, because only we possess:

This collection also marks the end of a ten-year journey for Nguyễn Phong Việt—let’s await the new transformations he will bring in the future.
Passing Through Nostalgia
Passing Through Nostalgia7. Like a Reverse Flow, Born to Be Alone
In December 2012, Nguyễn Phong Việt published his debut poetry collection, 'Passing Through Nostalgia – How many people have passed through nostalgia but forgotten each other?' In December 2013, his second collection, 'From Love to Affection – If life were smooth, who would we shed tears for?' was released. Now, in December this year, Nguyễn Phong Việt returns with his third collection, continuing the themes of the previous two, titled 'Like a Reverse Flow, Born to Be Alone.'
Phong Việt's poetry has a unique, simple way of telling stories that effortlessly touches the deepest emotions of the reader. His words, though seemingly simple, are imbued with such delicate empathy and understanding. 'Born to Be Alone' carries this profound empathy, posing a poignant question: "Born to be alone? Why, why must we carry loneliness within us since the moment we are born?" while simultaneously offering a bold declaration: "We are born to be alone!"
With 'Born to Be Alone,' Nguyễn Phong Việt leads readers on a journey through solitude with simple, yet powerful verses. We follow these verses unconsciously, only to find ourselves questioning our own existence. The many forms of loneliness become tangible in his words. It is the loneliness of hearts waiting to be filled, the isolation of incomplete love, the yearning of souls craving understanding, or perhaps the solitary sadness of a grain of sand in an endless desert. Loneliness visits each person, as familiar as a morning cup of coffee—"needed for the bitterness in the heart," sometimes appearing suddenly like an afternoon rain, when we feel lost in the downpour, or simply as a constant companion, an old friend that even tears recognize. Loneliness builds upon itself, but why? Why must we bear this burden of solitude? When did it all begin?
"We were lonely from the very first moment we learned to sigh, growing up and aging with a hundred thousand memories we must carry..."
