1. As Long as You’re Here, My Love for You Will Never Fade

2. The story of two poor siblings who deeply loved each other!
In a village far away, there lived a family of great poverty, having lost both parents at an early age. The only survivors were two children, left to care for each other. The older brother, though just a few years older than his sister, had to drop out of school and work for others in the village to make ends meet... all the while ensuring his sister could continue her education. He believed that learning would empower her to care for herself in the future, while he, as a boy, could endure the hard labor.
One day, a storm unexpectedly hit, bringing with it heavy rain and fierce winds. The roof of their house leaked badly, and water poured in everywhere. The boy struggled to catch the leaks, but still ended up soaked, as the roof couldn’t withstand the downpour. The wind cut through him, chilling him to the bone. His sister had been suffering from a toothache for two days, but she held on, not having money to see a doctor or buy medicine. The boy feared that if she caught a cold, it could become a serious problem. He stayed by her side, comforting her and promising that they would visit the doctor the next day. Don’t worry about money... he said, I’ll find a way... and covered her with the best clothes he could find, as the blanket just didn’t seem enough to keep her warm.
It seemed that their dire situation moved heaven itself, as suddenly, a bright light appeared... A beautiful fairy appeared before them... She used magic to stop the rain and made the house warm again. She healed the sister’s toothache with a combination of Green Tea herbs and Calcium crystals. The little girl was overjoyed as the pain completely vanished. The siblings were also gifted with new, clean clothes. The fairy explained that she was sent by the gods to help children in need who continue to strive despite their circumstances.
From tomorrow onwards, the boy would go to school just like his sister. The fairy hoped that when he grew up, he would be someone of value. The boy thanked the fairy and promised that he would work hard and aspire to become a dentist, just like the Green Tea Fairy, to help children across the country with their dental care.

3. A story of forgiveness: Sibling love
This is the story of two siblings living together in a small village, working hard in the fields and helping their family. The two had always loved and supported each other, but due to a small misunderstanding, they slowly drifted apart, refusing to speak to one another. Both remained silent for weeks, each harboring their anger.
One day, an elderly carpenter knocked on the older brother's door. He said, "I can build and repair many things, does your house need any work done?" The older brother thought for a moment and replied, "Yes, I have a job for you." He led the carpenter to the back of the house and pointed, "The house next door belongs to my brother. There used to be a small creek between our houses, but recently, my brother has planted tall trees and widened the creek, turning it into a boundary between our homes. You’ve seen it, so please build a high fence, three meters tall. I never want to see his face again."
The carpenter thought for a few minutes and then said, "I understand."
The older brother helped the carpenter carry wood and tools to the back of the house before hurrying off to work in the fields. That evening, when he returned, the carpenter had finished his task. The older brother went to check and was stunned. He stood frozen, unable to say a word.
What should have been a tall, sturdy fence was instead a bridge. A beautiful wooden bridge, intricately carved, a masterpiece of art rather than just an ordinary bridge. At that moment, the younger brother happened to arrive. He rushed across the bridge, embraced his older brother, and said with emotion, "Brother, you built a bridge between our two homes, after everything I said and did... I am so sorry." The older brother was also shocked and began to cry. As the two embraced, apologizing and explaining everything, the elderly carpenter quietly packed up his tools, preparing to leave.
The older brother quickly turned to him, saying, "Please don’t leave yet. Stay for a meal with us. I think I’ll need more of your help soon."
The carpenter smiled kindly and replied, "I’d love to stay, but I have many more bridges to build and things to repair elsewhere, young man...".

4. The story of "My Brother"
I was born in a remote village on top of a high mountain. Every day, my parents worked tirelessly under the sun to cultivate the dry, barren land. One day, I wanted to buy a handkerchief, something that all the girls around me seemed to have. So, I stole 50 cents from my father's drawer. Immediately, he discovered the missing money.
"Who took the money?" he angrily asked my younger brother and me. I was stunned, scared, and dared not say a word. Neither of us confessed, so he said: "Fine! Fine! If no one admits, both of you will be punished!" Suddenly, my younger brother grabbed my father's hand and said: "Father, I did it!" He took the responsibility and was punished in my place.
That night, I suddenly burst into tears. My brother covered my mouth with his little hand and said: "Sister, don't cry now! It's already done. I will never forget the image of him protecting me.
At that time, my brother was 8 years old and I was 11.
Many years passed, and I still hated myself for not having the courage to admit what I had done. When my younger brother reached his final year in middle school, he was accepted into a high school in the town center. At the same time, I was accepted into a university in the province. That night, my father squatted in the yard, smoking. I heard him ask my mother: "Will our two children do well?" My mother wiped away her tears and sighed: "But what good is it? We can't afford both."
At that moment, my brother stepped out, stood before my father, and said: "Father, I don’t want to continue studying. I’ve read enough books." My father immediately became angry: "Why don't you have any willpower? Even if I have to beg on the streets, I will send both of you to school until you finish!" Then, he started knocking on every door in the village, borrowing money for our education.
In the room, I gently touched my younger brother's face and said: "A boy must continue his studies. Otherwise, you will not be able to overcome the poverty we are going through." On the other hand, I had decided not to continue my university education.
What no one knew was that the next morning, before dawn, my younger brother left home with a few old clothes and some dried beans. He left a note on my pillow: "Sister, going to university is not easy. I will find a job and send money back to you." I hugged the note and cried until I lost my voice.
With the money my father borrowed from the entire village, and the money my younger brother earned by carrying cement at a construction site, I managed to finish my third year at university.
At that time, my brother was 17 and I was 20.
One day, when I was studying in my room, my roommate ran in and told me: "A villager is waiting for you outside!" Why would a villager be looking for me? I went outside and saw my brother from afar. His whole body was covered with dirt, cement, and sand. I asked him why he didn’t tell my roommate that he was my brother.
He replied with a smile: "Look at me. What would they think of you if they knew I was your brother? Wouldn’t they laugh at you?" I felt deeply moved, and tears welled up in my eyes. I brushed the dust off his body and told him that I didn’t care what others would say! He was my brother, no matter what he looked like.
From his pocket, he took out a butterfly-shaped hairpin. He placed it in my hair and said, "I see all the girls in the town wear these. I think you should have one too." I couldn’t hold back anymore. I pulled my brother into my arms and cried.
At that time, my brother was 20 and I was 23.
After I got married, I lived in the city. My husband invited my parents to come live with us many times, but they refused. They said that once they left the village, they wouldn’t know what to do. My brother also agreed with them. He said: "Sister, you only need to take care of your parents-in-law. Here, I will take care of mom and dad."
My husband became the factory director of his company. We asked my brother to accept an offer to manage the maintenance department. But he turned it down. He insisted on being a repairman instead of having a new beginning.
One day, while standing on a ladder fixing the cables, he was electrocuted and was taken to the hospital. My husband and I visited him in the hospital. Looking at the cast on his leg, I complained: "Why did you refuse to become a manager? Managers don’t have to do dangerous things like this. Now look at you, you’re suffering a serious injury. Why didn’t you listen to us?"
With a serious expression, he still defended his decision: "Think of your brother-in-law. He just became the director. If I, someone with no education, became a manager, bad rumors would spread everywhere." I saw tears in my husband’s eyes, then I said: "But you didn’t go to school because of me!"
"Why do you keep thinking about the past?" he said and then held my hand.
At that time, he was 26 and I was 29.
My brother, now 30, married a farmer girl from the village. At the wedding, the officiant asked him: "Who is the person you respect and love the most?"
Without hesitation, he answered: "My sister." He then went on to tell a story that I could barely remember. "When I was in elementary school, the school was in another village. Every day, my sister and I would walk two hours to school and return home. One day, I lost one of my gloves. My sister gave me one of hers. She only wore one glove and still had to walk a long way. When we got home, her hand was still shaking from the cold. She couldn’t even hold chopsticks. From that day, I swore that as long as I live, I will take care of my sister and always be kind to her."
The applause filled the room. All the guests were focused on me. I found it hard to speak, in my whole life, the person I wanted to thank the most was my younger brother. And in this joyful moment, in front of the crowd, tears started to fall again.

5. Dữu Cổn's Care for His Brother During the Plague
In ancient times, people greatly valued brotherly bonds, seeing them as important as one’s own limbs. During the Jin Dynasty, there was a boy named Dữu Cổn. At that time, a plague ravaged his hometown, claiming the life of his eldest brother, while another brother fell gravely ill. The villagers shunned them, and even the boy’s parents and relatives sought to leave, intending to take him with them. Dữu Cổn, however, reassured them, saying, “I am not easily infected by the disease. I am not afraid and wish to stay behind.”
We can observe that the wise and virtuous have the heart to sacrifice for righteousness. This reflects the true essence of life and the universe. By confronting life with a sense of duty, even if one’s life ends, they will be destined for a better place in the next life. On the contrary, if one strays from their principles, even if they survive, they may not find peace in the afterlife. More importantly, even if one lives a long life, without a clear conscience, they will never find true happiness. The virtuous, however, leave behind exemplary legacies that can transform a rough stone into a gem, turning danger into fortune.
Dữu Cổn stayed behind to care for his sick brother, and every night, he would visit his deceased brother’s grave to mourn in solitude. Soon after, his brother’s illness mysteriously disappeared. Why did the illness vanish? The deep brotherly affection behind each bowl of medicine brought a positive, healing force. This devotion and righteousness helped the brother recover. As time passed, Dữu Cổn remained unharmed by the disease. His parents returned to their hometown, overjoyed to see both sons alive. This story from the Jin Dynasty is a touching example of brotherly love.

6. The Daughter of Trần Huệ
During the Ming Dynasty, there was a scholar named Trần Huệ. He had a daughter, who was never named, and so she was recorded in historical texts simply as the daughter of Trần Huệ. Her parents passed away when she was young, leaving her to care for her two younger brothers, one aged five and the other six.
When she reached marriageable age, her relatives, understanding her family’s circumstances, eagerly eyed her inheritance, like hungry wolves. However, the daughter was determined not to marry, feeling the absolute need to raise her brothers to adulthood. She was also very wise and fully aware of her relatives' intentions. One day, she cooked a feast and lit candles at her doorstep. Her relatives soon gathered at her house, and she warmly invited them in: “Come in, come in! Don’t be shy, let’s have a meal together.”
The more hospitable she was, the more her relatives felt embarrassed. They had come looking for an opportunity to take advantage, yet she treated them with such kindness. They replied, “We happened to arrive and saw the candles extinguished, so we came in to light them, nothing else.” With this clever, tactful approach, she diffused the threat, and from that day forward, her relatives no longer visited to trouble her. They understood that she was steadfast in her commitment to raising her brothers well.
Eventually, when her brothers had grown up, married, and started their own families, she decided to enter a monastery. At the age of forty-five, she had never had children. Her brother took her in and cared for her in her old age. Therefore, it is certain that heaven will protect and bless those who adhere to righteousness. As Laozi said, “Heaven’s laws do not discriminate between kin; only those with virtue understand.” We must have strong faith to attain peace of mind.

7. Li Tixi Endures a Burn
During the Tang Dynasty, there was a high-ranking official named Li Tixi, who played a key role alongside Emperor Taizong in achieving many accomplishments. One day, Li Tixi fell ill, and the royal physician requested that his treatment include a strand of hair to guide the medicine. Upon hearing this, Emperor Taizong, without hesitation, cut a strand of his own beard and handed it to the physician.
Li Tixi was deeply moved by this gesture and went to the emperor, bowing in gratitude for his great kindness. Thus, a leader who always considers the well-being of their subordinates will surely earn their loyalty. Li Tixi also greatly admired his older sister. Even though he was a high-ranking official, whenever he visited her, he would personally cook porridge for her. One day, while cooking, the fire became too strong, and his beard caught fire. His sister, noticing this, was puzzled and asked, “There are plenty of servants in the house, why are you doing this yourself?”
Li Tixi, who had a deep respect for his older sister, replied, “Sister, since I was young, you have cared for me with all your heart. I have always wanted to repay you. We are no longer young, and I may not have many chances to personally cook for you in the future.” Therefore, in Li Tixi’s heart, he never forgot the deep affection of his sister.

8. The Dien Cousins

9. Brothers Are Like Hands and Feet....
In a town, there were two brothers, John and James. When their parents passed away, they inherited the largest shop in the town. The two brothers continued to manage the business together.
The older brother, John, was kind-hearted and hardworking, while the younger brother, James, was smart and quick-witted.
The two brothers were diligent and their shop was always bustling with customers. They loved each other dearly and shared everything. However, one day, while John was bringing goods out from the warehouse, he saw James agitated, rummaging through papers on the desk, searching for something. When John asked him about the $100 bill he had left on the desk, James accused him of taking it. John, being busy in the warehouse, denied it. Despite his response, James remained upset, thinking that no one else had entered the shop. From that moment, James became distant and hostile toward his brother, often making indirect remarks. John, realizing his brother's misunderstanding, had no way to explain.
After some time, the tension became unbearable, and the brothers decided to split the shop in two. A wall was built, dividing the shop and their relationship. They no longer wanted to see or speak to each other.
Twenty years later....
The shop still stood tall in the town, but the brothers' relationship remained unchanged.
One day, a luxury car pulled up outside John's shop. A well-dressed man got out and asked John about the largest shop in town, from 20 years ago. John honestly shared the story with the man. After hearing it, the visitor bowed his head and said: "I'm sorry, I am the reason for the rift between you two. I was the one who took that money. That was the first and last time I stole. For 20 years, I have regretted it every day. I have returned to apologize and ask for your forgiveness."
James, who had overheard the conversation, quickly ran over, crying, and embraced his brother, apologizing. The two brothers cried like children. The wall was torn down, and their shops were reunited. The bond between the brothers was restored.
The bond of brotherhood is sacred and invaluable. Don't let unfounded doubts destroy this precious relationship.

10. The Story of Sibling Love
Once upon a time, there was a family with three siblings: the eldest brother, Brown Rabbit; the second brother, White Rabbit; and the youngest sister, Jade Rabbit. That year, the village suffered a poor harvest and famine, causing many families to be torn apart. After gathering whatever food they could find to help the children survive, the parents of the three siblings bade them farewell and went into the distant forest to search for food. The three rabbits, holding back tears, watched as their parents' figures disappeared over the faraway mountains.
... The rain poured down relentlessly, accompanied by cold winds and biting frost. The three rabbits huddled together for warmth. Out of concern for his younger siblings, Brown Rabbit went out to gather dry firewood to keep them warm, but he fell severely ill. The food their parents had left them gradually ran out. Due to the cold and hunger, and after taking care of his brother, White Rabbit also fell ill. The wind and rain grew fiercer, and the little house that was already shaky seemed on the verge of collapsing. With no dry wood left and no food to spare, Jade Rabbit was heartbroken as she watched her brothers suffer. After searching desperately, she had an idea and happily exclaimed as she looked down at her own long hair. That's right, she would cut her hair and use it as firewood to warm her brothers... When they woke up, Brown Rabbit and White Rabbit found Jade Rabbit unconscious. They shook her desperately. It turned out that after cutting off her hair to keep them warm, Jade Rabbit had bitten her hand to give them strength. Brown Rabbit and White Rabbit cried out her name in agony, but Jade Rabbit remained still, her eyes closed. Just then, their parents returned, carrying a basket of fragrant white flour cakes. "Children, we found food!" But their joyful shouts turned to silence when they saw Jade Rabbit. "My dear, wake up. Try a bite of the cake we brought for you." But despite their calls, Jade Rabbit had already passed away, having given her last drop of blood to help her brothers!
The white flour cakes, which would later become sweet sticky cakes, were soaked with the tears of their parents and the two brothers. The cakes turned a deep golden brown, resembling the flames of a fire. In that moment, no one felt hunger or cold. The story moved the Jade Emperor so much that he granted Jade Rabbit life once again. The family embraced in joy. Jade Rabbit then pleaded with the Jade Emperor to relieve the village from hunger and cold. The family shared the cakes with the villagers.
